hi ladies...so this is one of those "impatient" questions. i am just fishing for other's experiences. i have an appt. tomorrow, but thought id ask anyway....so i am 35 weeks today with my second boy. my first pregnancy i did not "drop" at all. in fact, i ended up with a c-section. up until a few days ago, i was carrying this baby exactly the same (my boobs were resting on my belly) now my belly is way low and there is space between my boobs and the top of it. :) the upshot is that i can breathe better...the thing is that with the super intense, very frequent BH contractions and the baby dropping so much, i am starting to wonder. i am sure its nothing, but i wanted to ask if anyone went into early labor after experiencing such an early "drop". thanks! ↓
hi, I was wondering if your dr said anything about the baby dropping? I just had the same thing happen to me today...i'm 33 w 5 days ...tomorrow i have a midwife appt and will find out for sure...but I had all the same things you described above... ↑
nope....i mentioned it and she said nothing. so you have the BH contractions? i had them one day before my first son was born, but with this baby its been 2 months. i was monitored at the office one time as i was getting 5 and more in an hour. then yesterday i had a bunch in a row...one was 3 minutes long, one was 8 minutes and the other was 5. i called L&D and they had me come in. i ended up with 2 doses of terbutaline and another med for the discomfort. all my dr. said last week was that if i go early, then i have the csection early. i am just trying to hang on and not loose my mind. im pretty miserable. ↑
wow, how far along are you now? i'm the same way, I had very few braxton hicks contractions with my first, and they were right at the end, this time I have had them since 30 weeks, at one point my midwife thought they were preterm labor..but when they did the u/s all looked well ,and the dr didn't seem worried...sorry to hear your miserable...is the c section elective? ↑
Leslie - With my second I dropped at 32 weeks and was worried I'ld go into preterm labour esp. as I'ld lost all my waters at 36 weeks with my first. I didn't go into labour until 39w1day though and the midwives didn't seem concerned I'ld dropped that early at all. I had never had a contraction in my first pregnancy, with my second I was getting contractions at the end but nothing that major. I got a lot of contractions at 39w0d but when scanned was 0cm. Then went the next day. Hope it all goes well. ↑
