I recently heard that JC Penny Portrait Studio had gone digital? Just wondering if anyone knows for sure? Or if I am going to have to call & find out! :-) Thanks. ↓

I've had a membership there for about a year and our most recent trip was in June. By "digital" do you mean, do you get a CD with your pictures on it to take home? I know some studios do this, but I don't think JCP does. What they do is take all the photos with a digital camera, then about 10 minutes after the session, you view them on a computer screen. (During that 10 minutes, the photographer creates a bunch of enhanced photos to give you ideas on how to spruce up the regular prints.) You select your pictures from what you view on the screen, and you can have them create other enhancements, put packages together, select individual prints in any size, whatever you want to do. You can purchase an on-line link to your pictures for about $5 (this is free one time with the 2-year membership) and you'll have the link e-mailed to you in about 4 days. The on-line images are good for downloading as screen savers, and some people have said they even make decent hard copy prints like for wallets for relatives, but I wouldn't recommend trying to print them for your good ones. The hard-copy pictures take about two to three weeks to come in, then you stop by the studio to pick them up. They always print a few extras they offer to sell you at pick up time too. I've used Sears, The Picture People, and JCP and really like JCP. My favorite is the multi-photo collages that JCP does, and I think their prices are really good too. Hope that helps!! ↑

The JCP where I live has gone to using digital cameras. You get to see and pick out what pictures you want the same day as the pictures are taken. You have to go back in about 2 weeks later and pick them up. You can have a CD made of t all he pictures but I'm not sure how much it costs. You can also have the pictures e-mailed to you but it costs like $5. ↑

yes they are, i loved my pictures there. you can get them on cd, but you have to order it from the website later on. i dont know how much it costs to get them sent to you online because i have the portrait club membership and its free with that. im still trying to figure out if i buy the cd then if i can print out the pictures or not because if so i will just do that next time so i can have a copy of all of them to print out...i want a copy of all her studio pictures to put in a book to give her when she gets older ↑
The JCP where my mom works and near me is going completely digital which means they will have a digital camera. Not the old camera, But in my opinion is STUPID. Because some of the pictures JCP does you can do at home with your own digi. They are only charging you for the backgrounds they are using. And meg no the JCP doesn't have the seasme street background anymore my mom said something about it being dangerous, and it didn't have any of the characters on it anyways it was just a house from seasme street. ↑

This is off topic but do you need an appointment to get portraits there? Or can I just walk-in? ↑
