I'm moving next week and won't be able to give/attend my friend's baby shower next month. She didn't register anywhere and doesn't say much about what she wants or needs. I do know that she has lots of baby clothes and blankets. She has a 1-year old boy and is expecting a girl. She lives in a house with her in-laws, and shares a cramped bedroom with her husband and son. I'm not a mom yet myself so don't know what makes sense for her. Ideas, anyone? ↓

Do you know if she is planning on bfeeding or using formula. Each has accessories that can be helpful e.g. boppy pillow covers, or breasfeeding storage bags, or formula travel containers, etc. ↑

Diapers, wipes, soaps, lotion, nail trimming kit, diaper rash ointment, stuff like that. I was telling my dh the other day I wish I had gotten more of this stuff at my shower. With my son I never had to buy soap or lotion because I got so much at my shower. Never can have too many diapers, just don't go too cheap because sometimes they will leak and never get used anyway. I always throw in a little something for mom, a picture frame for baby, perfume, lotion, candles, ect. I got a hand and foot print kit at my shower and thought it was a great gift. Crib sheets, socks, bibs, are other ideas too. ↑

what i would have loved was a gift certificate for a pedicure/waxing/pregnancy massage...something along those lines. i also agree that stuff that is necessary like diapers is also great. i got a lot of clothes with my little girl's shower because its fun to buy little dresses and stuff...and i loved and adored all the cute little outfits she got....however it would have been nice to get more things that i needed too. ↑

oh yeah, throw in a pacifier or two - and add one of those clips that attach to them OR they have some glow in the dark ones at BabiesRus. Really nice in the middle of the night when you're feeling around in the bed for it when it falls out of their mouth. :) ↑
