I am just curious...My DD has been taking steps for a couple weeks now and sometimes its with shoes sometimes she is barefoot. My sitter told me that she has been walking all over at her house taking 12 to 14 steps at a time...when we get her home she will only take 3 or 4 steps. Should I get her fitted for a walking shoe??? I had no idea Stride Rite were so pricey. Which way did your baby walk better with shoes or without...I know every child is different I am just curious. ↓

It's best to let your LO learn how to walk in barefeet. That will give them the best balance and grip on any kind of flooring. My lo is starting to take steps to, I want to put a helmut on her, she likes to take a few steps but then she gets excited and tries to run and usually falls over, lol! ↑

I agree, barefoot or the leather soft soles are best. My lo learned without shoes and we only put them on her when we go out. Good luck! ↑

My ds (17 months old) walked better barefoot. Only in the last 2 months did we start buying him actual shoes...before that he was wearing robeez & isabooties. They are so much more comfortable for him. He still wears them to daycare for comfort-sake but if we are going out he wears shoes. When he's in our yard he goes barefoot. ↑
