I went into labor on july 5th but didn't go into the hospital right away cuz i wanted to watch the rodeo and fireworks plus i didn't think they would keep me anyway. But after the fireworks were done I went to Labor and delivery. And they kept me because Brooklynn dropped lower while I was there...I took a shower after they told me I could stay cuz I felt so yucky from the contractions which hurt so much and where like 3 mins apart. i didnt show much pain and that irritated my family cuz they could tell when I was having contractions or not. By the time i was ready to have my water broke i was in sooo much pain....they had to stick a thing on brooklynns head at this time too so they could get an accurate heartrate and another thing to calculate my contractions so i had these to cords hangin from down there..makes it hard to go to the bathroom. Well when i hit 7 cms...I could not take the pain anymore and the stuff they there giving me through my iv wasn't working anymore and was just making Brooklynn and I drowzy. So I got my epidural and let me tell ya they r so worth it! Only problem was they had trouble gettin it in so they had to poke me 3 times before they got one. And then that one had to be put in farther then they usually do. OH WELL i was all good. Well After i got my epi I was good could still feel contractions but no pain YAY. But Brooklynn dropped in to the birth canal and wanted to come out but i was only barely 9 cms at that point...her heart rate started to drop so they threw a oxygen mask on me told me to breath deep and a whole bunch of people started running in it freaked me out i started worryin bout loosing Brooklynn. I was sooo scared I started crying...still breathing deep but crying. And They told me I would need to have a c section which scared me even more. That was the easy part though they just threw a whole bunch of drugs into my epi and started doing whatever they do...i couldn't see..my mom watched though. I thought everything was good...but 12 at night after giving birth my doc comes in and tells me I can't have brooklynn in my room cuz she needs to be on oxygen and have an iv because she has low glucose level..i was upset but i could still visit her. At least she got ot come into my room once before. But then at 4 am he came in agian and told me that they need to air vack her to a bigger hospital because she has a low platelet level in her blood and they dont know whats causing it. I started crying and asked if i could go see her and they were a lil leary cuz i had just gotten done with surgery and stuff at 6:45 is when she was born btw. But I got outa bed by myself and went and held her till she had to leave it broke my heart cuz i couldn't go with her....=( We found out that she had the Group B Strep *which i did get tested for and it came back negitive but who knows* and that it caused that and maybe more...she is still in the hospital right now. And she had to get a spinal tap yesterday to check for meningitus and she had to get a head ultra sound today....and she is all hooked up to many machines =( i do get to hold her though and she is beautiful!!! I love her so much and just want her to get better. she still has at least one more week in the hospital...and if the spinal tap test come back possitive she may be in for 4 or more weeks to come...so please keep my baby girl in ur prayers. I thought i'd just share my birth story with ya...hope you enjoyed, and i wish the best of luck to all ya girls and hope you have a healthy labor!! =) ↓

First of all Congratulations on your little girl! and second I will be praying for her safe recovery. That is really sad to hear. I am sure everything will be ok. My brothers ex wife gave birth and apparently had a kidney infection when she did that nobody caught and the baby was in teh hospital for a few weeks but she is ok now. so I am sure your little girl will be ok! think positive!!! ↑

You and Brooklynn are definetly in my prayers to. I can only imagine how scary that must have been for you. I hope she has a speedy recovery and nothing but the best doctors working on her. I wish I could give you a big hug right not because I know this has to be hard/scary. Please keep us updated! ↑

thank you all very much it is scary but brooklynn is gettin better they found nothin on the head ultra sound and so far the pliminaery test results on spinal tap look good so hopefully she will get to come home this weekend ↑

i just wanted u all to know that Brooklynn is gunna be ok her spinal tap results came back negitve they found nothing unusual on her gead ultra sound.....yay! =D so all she needs to do now isfinish her 14 day antibiotic treatment and one day without them then she can come home!!! that is like monday or tuesday =D i soooo cant wait!
