Heya Meg! Has Brink had her first appointment yet? If so, how much did she weigh? Logan lost a lot of weight, so we're going back later on today, hopefully he's up at least a few ounces! AHH...Worried mama here. ↑

Hello, girls. Steph, the same thing happened to Kerrick. When we left the hospital he weighed 6 pounds 4 ounces. He had lost almost 10% of his birth weight, so they sent us home and told us to see how much he weighed at his first appointment. Well his first appointment was on Monday, we were discharged on Sat. afternoon and he had already added on 8 ounces. He is a very healthy eater. Last night was the first night that he ate and I could not get him to burp for anything. Well he finally have projectile vomiting in the middle of the night which I am hoping made him feel better, but scared the crap out of me. Do you guys worry about everything? I can't help it. Hope all is well with Brink and Logan! ↑

yeah, it was saturday. she weighed 8.9 at birth, and 8.3 when were discharged, at her appt she weighed 8.2.. so not much of a difference, i was supplementing with formula more then till my milk came in, so hopefully she'll be back at her birth weight at her 2 week appt which is next tuesday. but i know im gonna cry when she has her second PKU test fiday... i dont wanna see he cry, her firts one she just whimpered a little. But i wouldnt worry steph, the nurse told me its normal for them to lose cause they are not being constantly nourished by the placenta anymore. it will be okay... they checked her jaundice level it was 2.9 which is in the very low risk region, but as soon as she said that i immediatly got worried. i worry when she starts to spit up that she'll choke.. i swear, i try not to worry so much but its soo hard not too. i hope kerrick is feeling better sarah, and im sure logan will gain his weight back steph, later girls. ↑

AHh! I think my little Logan might be sick. He's only 13 days old. He seems to have a little congestion and wheezes a tiny bit while breathing. I've tried using the aspirator ( sp? ) on his mouth, and get a little bit out and he seems ot be happier. He doesn't have a temp-99.1, I was told anything over 100.4, it's time to call the doc. Should I call? Do any of you have the same problem? I feel terrible! ↑

Brinkley got her first bath last night, her little cord finally came off yesterday, i was really getting irritated with the sponge baths, and let me tell ya, it put her to sleep, she did so well.. its hard and sad to think thats she will be 1 month old in less than 2weeks.. my baby is growing to fast! Steph is little Logan feeling any better? i sure hope so. Sarah how is Kerrick doing? i hope all is well ladies! ↑

Hi everyone! Finally get to join u! Had my lil Jehaan this afternoon abt 14h17... So its been abt 6hrs,but im stil in awe! Havnt been able to see her since 5pm cos they keeping her in the icu cos her blood sugar was too low,so they keeping her 4 24hrs obs til it goes up...which i hope is soon cos i really wanna hold her again...shes just so precious and sweet as can be! Hope everyone else is doin well =) ↑

hey everyone!!! sorry it has takin me so long to respond. i delivered sydney on feb 4th at 9:12am weighing 7-2 ounces. sydney and everything else has been keeping me so busy. sydney is fine. she is such an angel. her first apt is tomorrow and i can't wait. i know she has gained some wait because she looks a little more plump. her imblilical cord has not yet departed but it seems to be getting close to falling off. today she is 2 weeks and i thought it would be off by now. me on the other hand is still spotting. today i passed something that look like a blood clot but im not sure what it was and there is much less spotting today, almost nothing at all. ( sorry for tmi) The breast feeding is getting easier. she latches on a lot easier and im still able to pump and use the bottles too. hope everyone else is doing good in the first month.congrats everyone. will return soon, ttyl ↑

hey mommas!! do any of your babies like to be naked?? i swear i think brink is gonna be a nudist! sometimes she just does not like to have clothes or a diaper on! its so funny especially since she has a hairy booty! i had to go back to the doctor today, appparently my joints and muscles arent going back together like they should, so now i have to go to physical therapy, blah. anyone else had this problem, found out i had 18 stitches!! thats alot!!! anyways i hope everyone is doing okay. hug the babies for me!! ↑

Meg-Mine is the opposite, he HATES being naked unless he is being cuddled. When I go to change his diaper or change his clothes, he FREAKS out.. My husband describes the sound as "A cat fight in his throat" yah, it's THAT BAD.. good lod, 18 stitches?! I don't think I had that many..I think I had around 10 or so, I'll have to ask.. Mine was only a 1st degree tear, so who knows.. It's almost time for Brink to have her 1 mo appointment! Happy 3 wk birthday, Brinkkkk! hehe... Logan's is tomorrow, I'm excited to see how much that little guy weighs.. He feels REALLY heavy, so WHOOO knows.. .Are you on CafeMom? Julien-I'm glad that your little one is BFing.. Mine was stubborn, as soon as he'd latch on, he'd fall asleep, TMI-But I have flat nipples. Not even a nipple shield would work, so we're just doing formula feeding... I tried doing strictly BM by pumping, but I couldn't get anything more than an oz out throughout the whole day... He lost 12% of his body weight rather than the expected 5-7% or something.. Anyway.. congrats!!! :) Are you on CafeMom as well? ↑
Hey everyone!! sorry ive been away we are getting ready for the legacy run bike rally this sunday. So how is everyone enjoying mother hood??? i have been dealing with a bit of the baby blues i guess, i keep worrying whether or not im a good mom, but it doesnt help to have someone standing over my shoulder criticing everyhting i do or thinking something is wrong with brink if she has the hiccups..lol. brink has baby acne and heat rash on one of her cheeks, poor thing, my MIL keeps it so hot in the house though, brink doesnt not like to be hot thats for sure. and shes gotten on a poop schedule- she goes every other day, i worried at first, but shes BF so i guess thats normal. well i hope all your little ones are well and you too!! ttyl ladies! ↑

Meg-I had terrible baby blues.. I feel bad for saying this, but I kinda resented having a baby, I felt like it was cutting into my time with the hubby. Luckily those feelings are gone and I feel so much better. He's still a pooper sometimes, lol, but I can't imagine my life without him. Logan and Derek and the loves of my life and I wouldn't have it any other way. I think I'm just now starting to enjoy motherhood. It's hard as hell, never thought it'd be this hard, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Logan's started smiling at me and that just makes it all the more enjoyable. I'm with you on constantly worrying.. He had really bad reflux and would projectile vomit everywhere and I would think I was a terrible mom. I thought I was doing something wrong or feeding him wrong.. I was also worried about him gaining weight, thank God he's almost 11 lbs, lol. At least according to my home scale. Are you excited that Brink will have her 8 wk appointment soon? It's all flying by so fast! ↑

hey steph..how was the move? good i hope. i had my 6 week appt and my doc said i have post partum depression, they put me on lexapro ive only been taking it for a couple of days so i dont know if it works. brinkley is becoming so vocal its so cute shes not much of a cryer cause as soon as she does im right there and then shes fine. tonite she doesnt seem to like her nanna for some reason, i was finishing up some work before tomorrow cause we have to go to a wedding, and she has her in her room laying with her and she is screaming..lol hahahahaha thats not nice-- but she doesnt do that to me, but james and his mom she get mad quick.. she smiles alot, and she poops on her own schedule..every other day. i had nothing to with it. i think we got very lucky with her, my niece had colic for months..and was so miserable it was sad... anyways i better give her a bath.. that always calms her down.. ill chat later ↑

Ya know Meg, I thought he had colic for awhile, but it was just his formula. I just weighed him and it said 12lbs 10 oz, holy crap.. I hope the Lexapro helps ya..I was afraid I was going to have PPD because my baby blues were CRAZY... But luckily it went away. Where are you in Tx? The move went well... We found out on a Tues that we had to be in Tx by that next Monday, and the movers were going to be there the Sat before so I had to haul balls and get the house packed and stuff.. The movers didn't take our stuff to Texas since this is considered a "temporary duty station" so we won't see our furniture until NE. Anyway, we packed our car full of clothes and Logan's stuff.. We left on Sunday and made it here by Tues. I'm excited to get together with everyone.. :) ↑

how is everyone! i ve been getting so caught up with brinks that i dont really play online too much anymore, shes growing so fast i cant believe she doesnt fit into some of her newborn stuff anymore.how are yall s little ones doing? brinkley said mama tuesday night, she s made sounds since then that were similar but that one time it was distinctly mama. i think it was an accident and she may not know what it means, but it made me feel good anyway. anyways ill check back later. hope all is well! ↑

Hi everyone.. I thought all the Feb mothers had given up posting so its a nice surprise to see some again on this board!! Well done brinkley for saying mama (even if she doesnt realise what it means!) Glad all seems to be well. Im loving being a mum to my little girl she's growing so fast and the days/weeks seem to merge in to one. Unfortunatley I had to give up trying to breastfeed/express after a month as had lots of problems so now using formula.. Ive managed to get a routine going now which has helped a lot (been referring to Baby Whisperer book, and advice appears to be working and we're getting reasonable sleep at night) Got our 6 week examinations this week, cant beleive how fast time is going. Would love to here how everyone is doing .. I know I didnt post much but I still enjoyed the feb mama's boards.. ↑

Wow!!! Guess everyone is still really busy cause I know I am. Sydney is fine. she is 10 weeks and 3 days and it already seems like shes been here forever. she has changed so much it is amazing. i can't wait till summer, we are planning to get her a playhouse with one of those baby swings, hope everyone is doing well, don't forget to check in every once in a while, luv ya!!!!! kiss the babies for me. ↑
