I hear ya on the exhaustion! I thought it would be better by now, but I guess I was wrong! We are hoping for a boy this time. When we went to the 1st Trimester NT scan, they said they were 90% sure it was a boy. We should find out for sure on July 14th for the 2nd tri screening. Are you also hoping for a boy? Bilmes, what are you hoping for? ↑

Hehe well everyone I've asked feels that we are having a boy. Which is wonderful because we badly do want a boy but would be happy with a girl. I get so tired so easily! I'm also anemic :( Which is terrible feeling! I can't do much without getting exhausted and it's upsetting. My husband is at AT ( annual training ) and should be home on in 2 days! Yay! ↑

Hi Jess and ebaby, I sure hope everyone gets the baby gender they want. Addy- are you taking an additional iron supplement? Try to have OJ or something w/ vit c when you have iron foods to help absorption. I guess if you're anemic, you've probably already tried that. My next doc appt is Friday so I can't wait to hear the heartbeat again. I'm so nervous this time around and worry constantly that the baby is not ok. Can anyone relate? ↑

Im 13 weeks and 2 days preggers due Dec 31 :O lol ↑

I take the flinstones vitamins with Iron, lol. It does not seem to help that much though sadly. My iron doesn't seem to rise and I don't seem to feel better. I just seem to get a splitting headache everytime I take them. I can't stand that. I am always scared that there is something wrong with the baby though :( ↑

Addy- maybe you could try some vitamins from a natural or organic store? Because they are not synthetic but a natural of the vitamins and minerals your body can absorb them and use them better. I have been using "Source of Life" multivitamin which you can order online. They are a little pricey but are completely worth it. I have used these before I was pregnant and the doc told me to keep using them b/c they are better than the rx prenatals- just a thought. Has anyone thought of any names yet? ↑

Hello ladies. I am 15 weeks and 2 days and due Dec. 16th. I have a girl who will be three in July and a 16 month old boy. We are hoping for another girl. Our sonogram to determine the sex is July 24th! I too was exhausted for the entire first part of the pregnancy. I think I would still be, but once I passed the first trimester the doctor ok'd 1 cup of coffee a day and that helps keep me going! ↑

We have a couple of names left over from our other two children, but who knows we will probably completely change our minds once we find out the sex and start brainstorming. The ones we have are Ember or Chloey for a girl and Seth Austin or Gavin Tyler for a boy. LOL we had never decided on a middle name to go with Chloey and we were going to use Rose as a middle name for Ember or for Tabitha (which is my daughters name Tabitha Rose) so we need to come up with a new middle name if we use Ember. Anyone else started to think of names yet? ↑

Bryandi- Congrats to you! The fatigue does seem to be getting a little better. I think it's harder for those of us that have lo's at home, you just can't nap when you need to. Good luck at your scan, I love the names you came up with especially Chloey and Seth. We go on July 14th for the 2nd tri scan and we are hoping for a boy since we have a beautiful little girl already. I have been having 1 cup of tea in the morning and feel guilty about it. I used to drink about 3-4 cups of coffee before I got pg, so I'm really having a hard time with the lack of caffeine. Colleen ↑

Thanks Colleen! With both of my kiddos I gave up the coffee for the first trimester even though the doc said I could have 2 cups a day if I wanted to. After the first trimester I drink 1 cup a day. I too drink a lot of coffee normally, but after going 3 mths without it 1 cup keeps me right in line. So July 14th is the big day! Mine is 10 days after yours! I hope you get your little boy....hehehe in fact I hope you take the last one so that mine will be a girl. I will love the baby no matter what of course, but can't help but hope anyway! ↑

chindholm : I was hoping for a boy, then I was a girl, then a boy, then a girl lol so I would be happy either way. My sister is pregnant right now with a boy so it would be nice for someone my sisters baby could be friends with. ↑

Hey girls- I just cant wait until july 10th for my ultrasound. Im so worried the baby will have its legs crossed and refuse to open them. With my first she was face and and would not turn over so we couldnt find out that day. We did get to come back the following week b/c they didnt get to check the facial features and stuff. But I so want to know, now!!!! I am hoping for a boy but I think I will be happy if its a girl too! ↑

I am feeling like crap. I feel worn down and sick like Im going to throw up at the end of every day.
How is everyone doing on their weight gain. I am trying to keep mine to MINIMUM! I was way heavier than I have ever been when I got pregnant this time. I was doing really good. My last appt, I was 14 weeks and I was down 1 pound from my starting weight. I am scared to go next week, hopefully I havent gained too much! ↑

I am feeling pretty good right now. My ms went away right around 14 weeks. So the past 2 weeks have been fantastic. I also have more energy now. Jess that is awesome about your weight gain. With both of my children I gained btwn 50 and 55 lbs. i was able to lose it both times plus a little more with my last, but I really wanted to keep it to a minimum this time. At the beginning I didn't do so swell. I gained approx a pound a week until I was 13 weeks along. Then I stopped gaining. So now I am at 16 weeks and am up 13 lbs already. I eat healthy too for the most part, but the first trimester I was starving. ANd if I didn't eat every few hours I felt like I was going to pass out. Now my appetite is back to normal and I am keeping a close eye on that scale! ↑

Some days I feel great and other days I feel like crap. Last month when I was at my appointment I had gained 10lbs. But lately I don't eat very much when I do eat, maybe a couple of bites and then I'm full but I'm hungry again in an hour. ↑

I know what you all mean about feeling like crap. I was lucky enough to never get the ms/nausea, but I'm still VERY tired and I get alot of headaches and my allergies are just unbearable. I was up for hours last night and I'm miserable today for work :( I have gained about 9 lbs so far which is alot for me. I only gained 18 lbs total on my last pregnancy, I hope I don't pork up too much. I was able to lose the weight quickly last time, by the time I went for my 8 week check up, I was back at my prepreg weight. I'm just so hungry all the time! Colleen ↑

Colleen- I hear you about being hungry all the time. That just start this week for me. Im starving every 2 hours. Thats why Im nervous about my appt next week. I hope I wont have packed on the pounds. I have been trying to walk 3-4 nights a week. I just know I CANNOT gain 40 pounds like last time. I have a hard time losing it.... ↑
Name: clindholm | Date: Jul 1st, 2008 2:28 PM
jess- I know 40lbs is hard to lose, but even if overweight they still recommend you gain 15-20. My sister in law just had her baby and she gained just over 70 lbs!!! She is a tall girl, so she carried it better than I would (I'm only 5 ft 1). I swear when I was breastfeeding, the pounds just fell off! Have you tried bf'ing even for a little while? If you're hungry, you have to eat! ↑

The doctor hasnt said anything about how much I should/should not gain. They didnt seem concerned that at 14 weeks I had lost one pound in total. Of course with my first pregnancy I was much thinner and the doctor was worried in the first couple of months when I lost 2 pounds. Of course I ended up gaining 40 by the end of that pregnancy so I more than made up for it. I am aiming to only gain about 20-25 throughout this whole pregnancy, we will see how that works out!!! Especially now that Im hungry all the time! ↑

Hi girls, I am due on December 31st and am 14 weeks pregnant. This is my fifth child ( I did have a m/c last summer) I got pregnant by surprise when my youngest was 3 months old and I lost it as it never developed properly, but I feel so blessed to be pregnant now. We had our first trimester screening 2 weeks ago and the results were very good. My youngest is 14 months. So I hope to get to know you all. ↑

Welcome Carly! We are in a very similiar situation! I am 16 weeks and my youngest is 16 mths old. How old are your other children? I also have a daughter that is 3 on the 18th of July! ↑

Hi Carly and welcome, congrats on your pregnancy! Sorry to hear of your loss last year. Are you hoping for a boy or girl? My lo is almost 19 months and my due date is on her second birthday. Jess- I also lost a bit of weight in my first trimester last time, but my doc said it was fairly common. This time however I am not having a hard time gaining. Has anyone ordered the Fetal Doppler? I am seriously considering doing it. It's about $45 per month (a little steep) but it sounds well worth it. Colleen ↑
