I had this same problem. I am 32 weeks and my doc said its a lack of calcium, and that it was safe to take up to 1500mg of calcium a day. I take about 1000 and that made the pain go away. i would wake up in the middle of the night in such pain i couldn't move my leg! ↑

I get leg cramps too, it helps to flex your foot (put it at a 90degree angle) ↑

You need more calcium in your diet and eat lots of bananas for the potassium. As soon as you feel a leg cramp coming on, jump up and stand or walk on it. The cramp will disappear immediately. Either that, or grab your toes and pull towards you till the cramp goes away. ↑
