Hi there mom-to-be's, I'm 17 weeks pregnant. Since last week, I started feeling like someone's touching the left side of my belly from the inside. It feels like a small electric shock. Sometimes the feeling moves to the middle of the belly. Is this my baby moving?

It could be. I am 38 weeks 4 days pregnant and the best I can describe the early movement is to tell you that it sortof feels like a muscle twitch from inside. With our first baby I didn't feel movement until I was 22 weeks, but with this pregnancy I felt movement at 15 weeks. I think with subsequent babies you know the feeling already, so you recongnize it sooner. Congratulations on your pregnancy by the way. Thursday is the BIG DAY for us.

at week 15 i felt strange slow turning movements and a vague feeling like your muscle contracting in slow motion, for 3- 4secs..not sure what it is

It is tough to say at this point.. I felt pops at around 16 1/2 weeks with my daughter. This time around (15 weeks) it feels like a little feather in there.. so I still can't tell. I guess we have to wait until the baby makes an obvious appearance, and trust me you'll know ;)

mjvdec01, THANK YOU... Everyone always says "It's like little butterflies" & I do NOT feel that.. It feels like i got a little muscle spasm or a twitch... It don't hurt or anything, but the "Butterfly" sensation.. Never happened for me.. LoL

is it ok to feel flutters one day and none the next?

Oct19- yes that is perfectly normal. The baby's position will make it impossible to feel movement at times.
