***whoops*** posted on the wrong one. I am doing the MRI on Sunday....I told them I would prefer to wait untiul my DH was back in town and he will be back from Dallas...friday sometime and I can not do it at all next week because we are going thru a system conversion at work and I am the only Trainer at my company. I have only had one episode while I was driving and lucky for me I was able to pull over. I was on my way to pick up Brooke so she was not with me...thank goodness. I probably would have freaked more because she was with me.....I am really praying it is what Pebbs had...all that sounds so similar to what I am expierencing. =
Ugh.... I can NOT get Jo to take a good nap. She NEEDS an hour and a half to two hours in order to be fine until bedtime but she ends up taking only a 45 minute nap to an hour and 15 minutes SOMETIMES an hour and a half but rarely. I just can't get her to sleep longer no matter what I try. Today she took not even a 45 minute nap, it was like 40 minutes. And that's all she'll have ALL day because she refuses to go down for a 2nd nap no matter how tired she is. So she's fine now, and she will be for another like hour or so but then she'll start falling apart and be wicked cranky, upset, and clingy for the rest of the day all the way until bed time. Sooo frustrating I just want her to take an okay nap so she'll be a little happier for the rest of the day. JENDEAN- Whatever it is I hope it's something that can be easily corrected! Good luck! GURINSA- Let us know how the new sippy works out. ↑
JENDEAN - Thats a scary situation. I hope its nothing too serious and you find out soon, for your safety! Your definately in my thoughts and prayers! ↑
Jendeen.... I bet that is it!! Make sure to ask about it.. It is soo simple to help.. there are drugs that they can give you to help in the mean time.. just controls the nausea and dizzyness. Let us know. MOMTBC - I am very excited.. but they are not getting applicants so i may have to work out a consulting fee with them and work a few days per week. We'll see. Don't want to but don't want to leave them hanging either. IMP - take it easy... hopefully Jo will end up napping a bit. I am lucky that Jenna takes 2 two hour naps every day... so I don't have any advise for you.... nyquill... SOOO KIDDING!! YOGI.. I will add you to the blog. BOTTLES... I am trying a few times per week to give her milk in sippys... but not stressing... she will do it when she is ready. My mom said I had a bottle until age 2 or more. Didn't kill me I guess. Lots of reading to do from today.. yikes. I will post a bit later. Leaving to do a purse party... then go and squeze my kids before they go to bed. Been up since 5am and haven't seen them once today. I HATE THAT! 16 mroe days.... 16 more days.... 16 more days! ↑
Well we've been okay over here. I kept Jo busy to distract her from the fact she only took a 45 minute long nap. We went to the playground and stayed there for about an hour and a half and then I took the long way home and we went on a bit of a walk and then when we go home I plopped her in the pool for half an hour or so. So she's been fine, getting a little cranky now but she might just be getting hungry. I'm STARVED. I seriously find it impossible to really eat anything when I'm with Jo, I always end up waiting until she goes to bed but I don't know if I can today. I took soooo many cute pictures today, can't wait to post them on the blog tonight! PEBBLES- 16 days, 16 days!!! How exciting! Not that anyone's counting or anything... haha Oh and TWO 2 hour long naps!?!?! I have NO idea what I'd do if I had FOUR hours of free time during the day! I'm sorta... or a lot jealous! If Jo took 2 two hour long naps though she wouldn't go to bed until midnight haha Okay... Jo is just laying flat on the couch watching TV haha poor baby. I'm gonna go make her dinner now, talk to you all later! ↑
For those of you ladies with experience buying houses, do you know anything about preforclosures? We're wanting to move out of base housing, and are looking for a decent apartment or house. But I've seen quite a few preforclosures for less than renting and was wondering if its worth it? Alexea has been standing alone a lot more lately. She goes, " Weeee" So maybe not much longer now. DH leaves at 4:15am and I haven't been able to go back asleep this morning, maybe I can get these little ones down together for their nap today so I can take a cat nap too : ). ↑
BRITT- Where does your husband have to leave for at 4:15 am? Iraq??? I'm always so confused haha well I knew he missed the flight last time but he was going to go with the next batch or something? ↑
Luckily no word on Iraq yet. But Afganistan will leave either Sept or possibly Jan? But he is fighting his weight issue still and has to go to a program in the mornings and works out by himself in the afternoons. He's been doing it forever now and it hasn't helped any, its for people who need to bring their run-time down and he doesn't, he passes his PFTs just fine. He saw the paperwork for them wanting to separate him for being overweight, they want him at 190 or less and he can't drop below 200. So we wrote a rebuttal over this past weekend hopefully they reconsider. But either way the paperwork takes forever and when he gets back from this coming up deployment he'll only have a year left anyways so maybe they won't : S. I mean he has a spare tire, not too bad, but if you've seen the pic on the front page of my website he's just built bigger. ↑
BRITT- I went to your website, he does not look overweight AT ALL. That seems so unfair how they treat the situation because some people are not overweight in the "fat" sense of it but are just solid and all muscle, don't they take that into consideration? So what will happen if he can't lose the weight? They have to separate him into a group just for overweight people? haha I don't blame you for writing them a letter because that sounds so unfair and just wrooong. ↑
Okay, I'm in overload today! haha! I started packing for the kids today. I was thinking about it all night and woke up with the worst jaw pain. I clench my teeth when I'm under stress. So, my mouth was almost stuck shut this morning. I have TMJ and I am supposed to wear a night guard and I don't. My own fault, but ahhh! Well, almost all the clothes for the kids are packed. But, of course, I need to buy one thing. Samantha doesn't have a jacket that still fits her. At the beach, at night, it gets pretty breezy and if she is awake and we go out on the beach, I don't have a jacket for her! I have to go pay - FULL PRICE - for one because she is at an in between size and Taylor doesn't have an old one. And, because it's summer the only jackets are out for Fall and are FULL PRICE! That is totally against my beliefs to pay full price for children's clothing, but I will have to. I'm going to scout Walmart and the outlets first. I've started to pack the backpacks and I need to go buy more for them. Gotta get back to that now! JENDEAN - my thoughts are with you! I hope everything turns out well and you get some peace of mind. ↑
Okay, I am just AMAZED right now. Jo has been sleeping for 1 hour 50 minutes!!! She woke up after an hour but I happened to be in the bedroom at the time anyway so I got to her fast and was able to get her to go right back to sleep and then I just held her and rocked for 10 minutes to make sure she was asleep and I put her down and she's been sleeping since. I'm hoping for a full 2 hours! I can believe it... I'm glad though because I know Jo will be just fine for the rest of the day now. Yay! ↑
Imp - Actually the process has started for him to get booted. He hasn't signed any paperwork yet but was offered to do a rebuttal so thats why we did that. I keep telling him to get his ankle checked out and keep going in about it, that way he'll get medically separated instead of admin. sep. he'll get a good pay for the rest of our lives. Honestly I know thats morally wrong, but he really did hurt it pretty bad as its still swelling up 3 months later, but I feel what they're doing is worse. My gosh he busts his butt at work, he knows just about everything about C-130's and trains the new guys. They don't have many people anyways. Grr. I feel a little better, sorry haha! ↑
GURINSA- We leave at 8:30 am on the dot on July 19th! I have it scheduled out so that we will have plenty of time to feed the kids before getting on the plane. I keep checking to see how full the flight is and as of right now there are about 8 seats left on the flight and all of first class is open. My Mom told me to ask at the gate if first class seats are still available. She said before she's paid a nominal fee and been moved up or even given it for free. Has anyone ever tried or know someone who has tried this? I'm willing to try, what do we have to lose!? IMP- Yeah for you! Hopefully this happens again and again and again and again. . . ↑
YOGI- Well, I just happened to be in the bedroom when I saw her start to move so I hurried over the crib and put the binkie back in her mouth and she never opened her eyes so I knew I was good but I picked her up and rocked her for 10 minutes to make sure she was good and asleep and then I put her down. I think I just cut her at the exact right moment. She ended up sleeping for 2 hours 15 minutes! And you are SO right, I kept thinking "okay she's going to wake up I know it..." and then it was so funny, at the.. I think 1 hour 45 minute mark I was just walking through all the rooms of the apartment going okay... what should I do... haha I was just aimlessly walking around not knowing what to do. ↑
PEBBLES - I bet your doing a happy dance that you survived one more week at work! Haha! IMP- let us know if Jo does it again today! GURINSA- Good luck with the sippy cup. I think just switching cold turkey is what worked for Samantha. I just kept putting the sippy cup on her tray in front of her so she had to pick it up and drink out of it. It took her a while to get the hang of it, but she did. We replaced the bottles one at a time so that now, I think, we are officially out of bottles! TODAY IS GOING TO BE SUPER BUSY! We have to go shopping today to get more vacation things. Then, this evening, we are going to a birthday party for Chris's cousin. Two kids are staying at the neighbors and two kids are staying with my sister. I HATE to split them up, but it seems like at this age, it will work better. Then, tomorrow, Chris's parents will be here. His Dad is helping finish the electric for the pool and then. . . gasp. . . they are going to watch the kids while Chris and I go out. Chris has a Harley and this weekend is BIKE WEEKEND in Gettysburg. Not totally our style, as you can imagine, but it is fun to ride around the area. I will post pics of us, because you will probably die when you see them! haha! Don't imagine me looking like a biker chick! It's more of a take on biker cuteness! haha! Chris looks manly and I look like I really don't want to be sitting on the back of that motorcycle gettng my hair smashed by the helmet! ↑
Okay so I was laying in bed last night and I came up with this idea. I don't know about anyone else but I feel like I'm in a food rut with Jo. I just feel like I keep making her the same stuff all the time. I mean she has a pretty good list of things that she eats it's not like it's 5 things or something but I feel like I need new ideas! So I thought we should all post what we give our june babies at each meal or what they have had. Maybe we will give each other new ideas! Alright well I'm being a hypocrite because I can't post my list right now I'm on my way out the door with Jo but I thought I'd get the conversation started. MOMTBC- I can't picture you as a biker chick! haha I definitely want to see these pictures! ↑
Like I said, not really a biker chick! If I can get pictures of the other people, you would get a kick out of it! I'm on my way out the door right now, too. But, here is what Samantha has had so far:
Breakfast: Juice and water 50/50 mix. Pancakes, sausage, plums. Snack: an organic fruit leather bar. ↑
Hey guys. I have been feeling like we're in a rut with food too! Here is what she has been having lately: Breakfast - Shredded wheat with a little milk, watermelon or cantalope, and a piece of toast..Lunch - a piece of american cheese, carrots, ice water. Snack - Kix cereal or goldfish or cheez its. Dinner - diced chicken breast with broccoli and yogurt..momtb..BIKER CHICK! Sounds fun - be safe! ↑
For breakfast she'll have bagel, yogurt and some fruit, or like eggs, toast and sausage, sometimes a cereal bar, applesauce, waffle. Snacks its something like cheerios, fruit, toast w/ jelly, crackers, string cheese. For dinner its what we have so gosh that would be long, I try to include two veggies, meat, maybe macaroni or something that I know she'll eat. Shes starting to refuse her veggies I may resort to pureeing some and sneaking them in, haha! ↑
I really can’t complain because Jo has eaten ANYTHING I put in front of her. There has literally been nothing that she has not liked. The weirdest things too like raw broccoli and raw snap peas, ANYTHING. So it seems like it should be easy because she’ll eat anything but I’m just running out of ideas of what to give her, obviously I can’t give her ANYTHING because she’s a baby and I always try to keep it healthy. Also, I can’t make dinner for me and Rob at the same time I make Jo her dinner, it’d just be impossible with her. But it’d be easier if I could because anything we eat she could have but only sometimes we have leftovers for the next day to give to her. I’m hoping as she gets older it’ll be easier to make dinner at the same time as she eats. Anyway, I’m not going to be able to list everything I’m sure I’ll forget a bunch of stuff but here we go... raisins, all Gerber graduate snacks except yogurt melts because I’ve heard bad things about them and am scared to try them, but she likes ALL fruit and I think she’s had almost all of them and ALL vegetables in any form. I’m really lucky that she’s never given me a problem about vegetables, she’ll have pieces of plain potato with nothing on it, she likes hot dogs, chicken, haven’t tried any other meats like beef or anything, has anyone else? She likes all cheese, yogurt, pasta, LOOOOVES tomato sauce and anything mixed with tomato sauce. She also loves grape tomatoes, cake... even if there is no frosting on it, any bread product like waffles, toast with jelly, rice, any crackers, cookies etc... I wish I could just make something new, something new looking, or just present things in a different way to make them new. ↑
Where is everyone today? I gave Jo a piece of slices turkey today and she liked it. That's the first meat other than chicken I've given her. OKAY, I just FLIPPED OUT. I looked down and while I was typing there was a huge beatle on my hand! I flicked it off and then brutally killed it haha but I had a heartattack in the process. Jo only took an hour long nap today which was ALL MY HUSBAND'S FAULT! His alarm clock was going off and he wouldn't turn it off I don't know how he can still sleep while it's going off but I was upstairs and couldn't get downstairs in time and it woke her up. I was so mad, I called him the nap ruiner all day. ↑
Gurinsa! Someone is still alive! haha yesterday I made Jo a turkey sandwich for lunch, just like an adult sandwich with cheese, turkey, 2 pieces of bread. I had to feed it to her because she's obviously take it apart but she loved it. She didn't mind me feeding it to her for once. ↑
Good Morning ladies! We had an excellant weekend, didn't do much. Ended up gong for a 5-6 mile walk yesterday afternoon. Alexea totally loved and and slept the whole way back. It makes me feel pretty good I'm not even sore today! When I was in the Navy Aircrew I went on beach runs 8-10 miles with guys, that really sucked, but obviously haven't done anything close to that in over two years, ha! We're looking into moving into apartments, so out of base housing. Its cheaper and has more amenities, our housing here offers lots of activities but its always at times we're not able to do it, so I'm willing to trade it all for a spa, pool, b-ball courts, etc. Plus its actually cheaper, well some of what we found, and close to his base and my school : ). We should know by the end of this week I've got to call different places. Alexea is still not walking, but is actually repeating more so maybe shes working on vocab. She loves to still hold your hands and walk tho. I'm excited I have an appt on Friday, yay! I'll be 26 weeks this wednesday. I have a little bump still not close to the size with Alexea. Hope everyone else had a good weekend! ↑
Wow - for once, after being away for a weekend there wasn't a million posts to catch up on! haha! Where did everyone go? Long weekend, you can read it on the blog 3 w's dot kctbcs dot blogspot dot com. Only four days left until vacation! We got the Wii Fit game for our Wii system. OH MY GOD! I'm in love. I just played it for an hour! It's all exercise and it is strenuous! I feel great! You should all get one! I hope it helps for our vacation - although, I'm probably going to eat too much and drink too many margaritas and ruin all my hard work! haha! As for foods, Samantha has been chowing down on zucchini. She was double fisting them this weekend. My mil said that my niece (who is a day younger than Samantha) is turning away all foods. She is barely eating anything at all. That made me grateful that Samantha eats soooo much. I would be racking my brain of what to do if she wasn't eating. We'd probably already have been to the dr.! Hope everyone is happy and healthy! BRITT- 26 weeks! Yeah! You are about to hit the homestretch! Good luck at you next appt! ↑
