Question: Question: I went to my 12 week dr. appt last Wednesday, and discovered the baby had died. I was 12 wks 3 days along and baby was about 11 1/2 to 12 weeks along when it passed. I had the d&c two days later on the 26th. I am still bleeding and cramping, but bleeding comes and goes. It does seem to be that when I get more active, I bleed more. I have two very healthy children, Thank the lord, and was totally and completely shocked by this. I have been very depressed and kind of hiding out in my home. I do notwant to face the world and all the questions and I am so sorry's. I am badly wanting to be pregnant again. THIS IS MY STORY.....i AM NOW PG AGAIN AND HOPEFULLY WILL MAKE IT ALL THE WAY. WELCOME FRIENDS...OLD AND NEW. ? ?

| Answer: Well...here we are...number 4 !!!! TDO....where the heck are ya??? I hope you are doing ok. TERA....How was moms day?? I hope you got pampered!!! I am having alot of contractions today....a little scary, cause I dont want to go into labor this early. I had them for the whole last trimester with dd.....and I didnt even know I was in labor until my waer broke. Because i had them so much and they just got worse the bigger i got. SO that makes me a little worried. This time around they started at like 18 weeks. ANyways...hope you are well. = |
| Answer: Shelly~ I was the same way with all my kiddos with the contractions. They were pretty regular at about 6 minutes apart when I was in 2nd trimester. DD they were 3 minutes apart and dilating cervix at 31 weeks. I think if you are concerned you should contact your Dr. Carson needs to get a bit bigger. It is always better to be safe! I hope they have settled some today. We had a great Mother's Day. We made a stuffed bunny for the little guy and went for and early dinner. No name yet I like Aaron, my oldest likes Thomas, DS likes Joey, and DH doesn't have any ideas. When he's quiet it means he's likes something that I probably won't like, and he is going to come up with a way to sell it to me!!! We shall see. We also went shopping and got some new little boy clothes. The kids are so excited! I need to get kids to school. I hope you are feeling better. Please call your Dr if your not. = |
| Answer: Tera....I am feeling good...just get alot of contractions. I know they are not timeable right now...so I dont worry to much. I did talk tot the doc about it...they said....drink lots of water ( which we all know is hard) and relax if you get alot. So that is what I do. I still get quite a bit a day...but I cant time them...so I will not worry just yet. Glad that everything is going well....with the buildabear thing and telling everyone. That is awesome!!! Can you believe we are this far now !!! Byt he way..I love the name Aaron. I go back in on the 28th for my glucose test and rogham shot...fun stuff ! But then I start going every 2 weeks. So that makes me feel like I am getting much closer !!! YEY !! = |
| Answer: Shelly~ I'm glad you are feeling better. Rho gam oh what fun. I am thinking about declining it. Unless I was to have a fall. I have a sensitivity to it I run a fever 102 103 for 3 days following and I break out in hives on my arms and legs that usually itch like chicken pox and last 3 to 4 weeks. The last time after the DNC they gave me wyn-Rho(sp) I still had a reaction but not nearly as bad. We shall see as it gets closer. I am definately not getting it after the baby is born. We are done! No more kiddos! My ds and dd have thier end of year picnics. They are done with preschool as of Friday. I'm looking forward to not running everyday. Maybe I can get something done. | Answer: OK I feel like I need to be comitted to the funny farm. DH is out of town. DD had last day of preschool family picnic yesterday, DS had ride the school bus and get aquainted, followed by DD's dance lessons, and the best part DS and DD wellness visits for the second dose of Chicken Pox vaccine. Now it all starts again this morning with DS last day of preschool picnic and DD has a birthday party and DH is going to need picked up when he gets back into town. I feel like a merry go round. Not to mention a trip to the drug store for DD perscription for her allergies. I hope you day is more relaxing. I can tell you that DH is offically on bedtime duty tonight!!! HI can't believe your are that far along already. We have my nephews baptism next weekend. I am wondering how the in-laws will reract to the berlly. At least we'll be in a church when they see it!!!! I look so forward to them asking how far along we are and being able to say just under 5 months. I can still get my butt in normal clothes so they might not notice, but we'll see I'm growing a bit everyday. I know what you mean with having Alexi home mine will do the same. | Answer: Tera....sounds like my day. Yesterday...woke up early...we had end of year field trip to the zoo with Lexi's school. Right after that...ran home to let the dogs out, give Addison a quick nap, and then took Lexi to last ballet class. Then right after that had a family birthday party. Didnt get home until 8 pm last night. Watched Greys and Lost and then crashed!!! This am Addy and I are going to eat breakfast with my dad, and that is it for the day. I think. Saturday....Lexis recital..so you know how that goes....dress rehearsal at 830 am and concert at 2. Then another bday party on Sunday !!! Busy busy busy !! I am excited for you to be able to make your announcement!! I am also jelous you are still in your clothes!!! I outgrew mine at 16 weeks !!! Am all huge belly now !!! Of course I am 25 weeks now. | Answer: Shelly~ I hope you had a nice weekend. We are still in run around mode. I finally have a day with nothing other than meeting the bus. Preschool is over and now I can focus on scrubbing bedroom and organizing. I'm in full speed ahead mode. I can't wait to see the look on MIL's face. It should be worth a picture. I'm sure my belly will pop soon, but for now he is hiding out. I've only gained 3 pouinds. I usually stay small until about 6 months. I can't wait for the big belly!! How was the recital? Ours is in a couple of weeks. We did dance photos yesterday. My youngest refuses to smile. She gets a cute shy pouty face. I need to get moving before I loss my momentum. = |
| Answer: Tera....yes a picture is worth a thousand words !! HAHA. It is amazing what you can get done with time, energy and no kids interfereing !!! I am jelous you arent with big belly yet. I started showing early on, and needed maternity clothes by 16 weeks. But, that is good for me. I get big fast!! ANd No matter what I do i always gain alot of weight! I think my middle dd was the worst !! Oh well..I have a big ole belly already and proabably look 8 months pregnant!! Atlest that is how I feel. | Answer: Shelly~ I am so glad you are almost to 7 months. I can't wait to hit 7 mths. I think in my mind of that as a if I go into labor there is a good chance for everything to be ok. I have been so productive since I don't have to run kids anywhere. My whole downstairs is clean. I even polished the H/W floors today. I don't have any dirty clothes, and life is good. DH is out of town and I am flying solo. Which means I don't really need to cook big meals. The kids and I can make a dinner out of mac and cheese. When do you go for you glucose? I absolutely hate that. I am hoping to get it over with and not have any problems. I have my next appt on Thurs. I am taking the kids with me since it should just be a quick measure and HB check. | Answer: Tera...yes LNT...they filed for bankrupcy !!! I do take my kids....since I have n where else for them to go. I go in on wednesday for my glucose test...yuck...nasty orange drink...yuck !!! And my shot...and then from then on out I go every 2 weeks. I am a little concerned...cause today I feel like Carson dropped. I feel like it is way to early for that....I am going to be 26 weeks this weekend...but I feel it is still to early for himt o drop !!! My jay jay hurts !!!!! Remember that bowling ball feeling..yup that is what I have. I hate that !!!! Anyways...I wish I could be productive...but unfortunatley I feel completely drained at all times...like when you have the flu and you cant move....except not achy...just drained and fatigued!!! | Answer: Shelly~ I'm sorry you aren't feeling great. The feeling of dropping has me concerned for you. I agree 26 weeks is too early. Especially with the BH you've been experiencing. Have you talked to Dr office? I get the lovely bolwing ball feeling sometimes before the head drops because of edemia. I swell and retain fluids there and it looks and feels like the baby's head. The first time with my ds we ended up in ER. Now I know I tend to swell quite a bit they say to ice it. What a lovely thought. Just what you want to ice!! LOL! I hear you on the organizing. We need to do the garage too, but DH is a bit narotic and has such great ideas. Ours is under our house and is cement block. He wants to spacal over all the grout lines then paint it. It's 3 car bays and doesn't sound the a fun project to me, but he has it in his mind. DH is like the typical 3 year old some things aren't worth arguing over! Well I have my appointment today. I am happy Little guy moves a lot, and over all I feel good. I am taking kids with me too. I won't when I know they need to do an internal, but for now it is good for them to be there. = |

| Answer: HellO TERA>....Dr finally called back this afternoon. I had to go in...of course. I have white blood cells and blood in my urine....they are sending it for a culture...but I assume it means an UTI. She also did a pelvic...whcih you know hurts....and said He has dropped.....but she didnt seem worried about it. She looked at my cervix and it looks good. No dialating or thinning !!! SO that made me feel better....but I am still feeling it and very uncomfy !! Oh welll....I will deal with it I guess as long as he doesnt come early. As for your appt..I am sooooo glad it went well. We haven't found a church to join that we felt comfortable with so this pastor is coming in 30 mins. Where do you think DH is? I have a box and garbage bag sitting in my kitchen for him to take down to the garbage and a few other last min. heavy things that I don't want to do and he of course is no where to be found. I still havent heard anything about my test...I suppose no news is good news. I am not taking it easy...as we are doing our landscaping..I have been running all over the place and my ancles are telling me to stop !! The are so swollen and hurt !!!! | Answer: Shelly~ I hope you had a good weekend. I know you need Rho-gam at 27-28 weeks. I had it with all the other kids. I'm going to give it some thought this time around though. There are many views and opinions. My last blood test showed no antibodies. The highest risk for blood to mix is after a fall or accident in which I would need Rhogam with in 72 hours. Also if I would need a CVS test or amnio or during labor. Not as likely with normal delivery but more so with c section. I'm not sure if you had it at 27 wks if you would need another dose after an injury. I need to ask my Dr. I'm not sure what I think my 3 kids were fine but I had the Rhogam. I also suffered the side effects from it and needed to be taken care of for a few days after. The fever and everything makes you feel like a case of the flu with an itchy rash to boot. The win-rho wasn't as bad as far as the rash, but I still got a fever and I'm not sure how down I was because of the loss verses the medicine. I have a lot of questions for my Dr. Anyway my DH is out of town again this week this is the 4th and final week. I am looking forward to having him home. We worked all weekend getting house stuff done since he is gone during the week. We got our pool just about open I need to vacuum it 1 more time then I can let the kids go swimming. It is great to do after dinner before bath. It really tires them out and relaxes them come bed time. I am planting my garden today so I need to get outside before it gets too hot. I hope you are well and Carson is growing strong. Do you have his room ready? = |
| Answer: Tera...Hello there. We had a very busy weekend also...we landscaped our entire front yard..it was a huge project..but soooo worth it. We have had so many neighbors come over and even people just driving by....they slow down and a couple have stopped and says how it looks good !!! So makes us feel good !!! It definately wore me and dh out!!! Our next big project is finishing our basement, in which we are going to build an additional room. That way the kids dont have to share. So I cant decorate a room for Carson until that is done. Sad...I know. But I did get his bedding in the mail from Pottery Barn, that is exciting !!! I am sorry your dh is out of town again..I know that sucks !!! I did not know you had a reaction to the rhogam...I never have had one. | Answer: xannmariex....I am sorry for both your losses....I am glad you are staying positive and wanting to ttc again right away. My advice to you would be to wait to ttc again until after your HCG levels are back down to under 5 and also until after you have had atleast one normal af. That way the lining of your uterus is strong and thick enough to sustain another pg. I hope that when you do become pg again, that it is a strong healthy baby. = |

| Answer: Shelly~ Potty training! Oh what fun!!! It has been a long time since we've had diapers in the house. I really can't wait. We bought some diapers and wipes today. The pool is open the kids were in it Monday night. It was cold but they don't care. My youngest is a fish. Well I hope she is a quick learner. We also offered a special treat for the 1st day they went without a diaper all day and stayed dry DD picked a doll outfit, DS picked a Thomas train and DD got a My Little Pony. We went and picked out the toys and kept reminding them that we needed to use the potty before the store sold out of the toy they wanted. I think it cost us $15 per child but they certainly had motivation to stay dry. Well I am treating the kids to dinner out DH is gone until Friday and we need to get out of the house for a bit. = |

| Answer: Tera...so we are talking about how hot it has been....well a tornado hit our city last night...it was an F2...but it went up and down...so it only did damage to parts of the city here and there. It could have been worse..noone was hurt..thank goodness. The damn thing went right above my freaking house...and about 7 minutes before the damn sirens went off. Scary thing. Well...it was an eventful evening...and morning!!! Other then that...We finally got our mulch down and it looks good. Almost done !!! So I hope your evening was uneventful !!!! = |
| Answer: How scary to have a tornado in the area. Glad all is well. I am also jelous that you have mulch done. I can only hope to get it done soon. I'm not up to doing it. Last year we needed 6 cubic yards this year we could easily need 10but I really don't want to do it. we cleared a bunch of underbrush from the back of our property and should mulch it and put a few annuals in. It was another hot 1. We have been hanging out around the pool as much as we can. Well it is quiet here and I think I'm going to kick my feet up for awhile. = |
| Answer: Tera...It was very scary to go through that...the darn thing went right over my house..it just hand not fully dropped yet...so we really got lucky !! So..The mulch job......what are we thinking???DH and I ended up with 22 bags so far. I think the worst part is doing this yard work in the heat. Sounds like you have a lot to do as well !!! So...dd ran into my belly today full force...it hurt really bad. She hit me so hard she went flying to the floor. I had my doc appt today...his HB was still great !! | Answer: Shelly~ Ouch! Kids heads can be really hard. My DD Bounced on my belly as she was try to sit when I was pregnant with DS. It felt like she pushed him down. The Dr. had told me the same thing. We never had any problems I need to get moving. DD's last day of school is tomorrow and it is her special day since her BDay is the next day. Long story short I headed back and had to locate where I may have left them. This pregnancy brain is rough. My mind is totally fried. Today is DD Bday. We are having friends over to swim and then her tea party is on Sat. My little guy never sleeps at night. I am in for many sleepless nights. I need to finish cleaning for DD's friends. | Answer: Shelly~ I had a nice weekend. We were just really busy. The recital went well. The BDay was cute 14 girls made straw hats with flowers, lace and ribbons. Some were bold and others were well done. Fun to see everyones ideas. Everyone did great. Their plates were clean and they all seemed to have a good time at the tea party. Little man is doing well. I am concerned I think I may have a hernia. I called the Dr they said to take it easy until my appt Thurs and then we would see a specialist "just incase." Staying off my feet has made the buldge go down a bit. I am crossing my fingers. She also has me wearing a pregnancy belt for support. We shall see. How are you feeling? Your getting so close. | Answer: Hi ya'll! I just wanted to share my story. I got pregnant in April 07. I went on prenatals, went to my appts, did eveything right. My ob never did blood work, an ultrasound or anything. I didnt really know any different. The day after my 12 week appt. I started to have some spotting. I told my ob about it at my 12 week appt. He said it was fine. Still no ultrasound. The day after i stated bleeding and cramping very badly. I went to the er and was told it was a threatened miscarriage. However an ultrasund showed the fetus gestational age was only 6 weeks. My baby died 6 weeks earlier. My symptoms had gradually went away but i didnt really pay much attention. When i stood up to leave everything dropped out of me all at once. I was devestated. I had to stay overnight and have a D&C done the next day. I was depressed for a very long time I bled forever and was on med to make me cramp and bleed to clear my uterus. I am Rh neg and had a rogam shot. I will NEVER go back to that ob.
I had my miscarriage on June 3, 2007. My daughter was born June 13, 2008. I am now 6 weeks pregnant with baby #2! Trying to stay positive and think about what happened to much. = |

| Answer: Shelly~ Glad you get to hear Carson. What is his middle name going to be? We haven't agreed on a name. It usually goes something like this... DH picks his favorite and I pick mine then we go over the good and bad points of each. Keep in mind my DH is an engineer we must analize everything. Then when I go into labor he goes with the name of my choice. I think he is pulling for John and I'm pulling for Aaron. I don't like John. I like Jonathan, but he wants John for his dad. We didn't name any of our other kids for anyone. Why start now??? And why his dad? So far John is flying with me like a lead balloon. Grad parties were great. Lots of good food and company. This week was a step cousin and neighbor to the left next weekend it is neighbor to the right. Being the house in the middle of the parties pushed DH to get everything looking good. | Answer: Shelly~ Glad to hear Carson is well. I hope those BH contractions slow down. I am have a lot now not real comfortable. I told my Dr she said to keep an eye on them. Have you ever needed anything to slow contractions? We used breathine every 6 hrs. It was not a pleasant experience. It was like drinking 10 cups of coffee every time I took it. My heart raced and I felt like crawling out of my skin. I hope you don't get to that point. I am doing well. Heading towards 25 weeks. I will be so happy to get closer. I am still scared. I need to get moving DD started summer camp 9-1 everyday. It is a community camp and all the neighborhood kids go. They hike, play games and do crafts. = |
| Answer: Hey ya'l. Had my 1st ob appt. He wants an ultrasound done asap. We're out of town this week for speedweek (fiances a sprint car driver). My ultrasound is Monday at 9 am. Im so nervous. He said my uterus felt about 6 weeks in size. I found a wonderful ob w my daughter and im seein him again with this one. I also have to have an ultrasound of my thyroid done bc the right side is enlarged. What does that mean? I havnt been able to find any info on the net. My due date is Feb. 12. im about 7 weeks. | Answer: Hello ladies...>NEWBABY... I am glad your new ob is taking proper care of you and new bean. I have fingers and toes crossed for you that you see a healthy bean in there with a nice strong HB. This is a Valentines baby...YEY ! As for the thyroid...it could mean many things. It could mean you have a thyroid issue ( hyper or hypo thyroidism)and could need meds to control its function. Or it could mean something totally different. My dad has Hyperthyroidism and takes meds to contol it. Let us know what they tell you !!! TERA>....I actually had them bad with 2nd dd...but never took anything for it. This time around they are super intense and hurt. They started around 16 weeks or so and have steadily gotten stronger. They feel now like they did with 2nd dd in the end. Doc said she will do something to stop them if I continue to have more then 6 in an hour. I have never tried Breathine..what is it...something you put in a drink?? Or is it just a pill you take?? I dont think I could handle bouncing off walls...as I dont sleep well as it is. Doc just said drink ALOT of water ( which for me has never been easy) and rest. | Answer: Shelly~ I hope you are getting some rest. Relaxing is best along with lots of water. Not my favorite thing but it does help some with the contractions. Brethine was used to slow my contractions because they were causing cervical changes at 31 weeks. I was given 3 doses by injection then had to take it orally for the following 5 weeks. I was admitted to hospital 2 times a week for reactive NST during the 5 weeks. The contractions were always still there but they weren't changing the cervix with the Brethine. I went into labor 4 days after I stopped the Brethine. I think that must have been how long it took to clear out of my system. It wasn't fun, but it kept my DD in until 36.5 weeks. I am concerned because I feel some of the same things I felt with her this time. I keep trying to tell myself it is just in my mind. DH felt my tummy this morning and couldn't believe how hard it was. I am trying to push fluids so it gets better. I am going to go clean. I feel it is a hopeless cause!! = |

What week are you in now?? 28?? SO..I am hoping my contractions are not going to get worse. But, we do what we have to. | Answer: I wish I was 28 weeks. I'm only 25 wks. I think I was dehydrated yesterday. I feel much better and have had very few BH today. I have a house full of kids today. As for the Glucose test...you are not suppose to eat anything like an hour or two before or after. I ate a huge meal that morning at like 1030 and then drank the drink at 1:00 and had the test at 2. SO you should be fine to eat as long as it isnt like an hour or two before. And my test came back normal !!! As for my deliveries....My oldest dd I went to 41 weeks...it was aweful !!! My second dd...I went at 38 wks and a couple days. So...I guess with Carson I just really dont know. I am hoping for Septemeber 1st...only 1 day before my due date, but I really want him to come on the 1st. No August baby for me !!! HAHA...I guess we will see. Only 9 more weeks !!! How about you.... | Answer: Tera...hello...the 4th was great !!! We had lots of fireworks and lots of food...and friends...it was fun !! Yesterday we watched some fireworks from our house and just relaxed. Which was nice for me. I am 32 weeks now and so happy to be getting close. I have my shower next weekend...whih will be so fun. I am so looking forward to getting blue stuff for a change !!! | Answer: Tera....I know what you mean about a rat race leaving the firework displays...we go to them alot here also. ANyways...I am having a small shower..only about 10-15 people. But it will be fun and I am really excited...I have never been able to celebrate a boy!!! SO I am way excited to get anything blue !!! I have the shower on Saturday, then right after my nephews bday then the next day my other nephews baptism. Then the following weekend we have my other nephews bday and the next day is dd's bday. We went to WalMart with DD and got pretty panties and rubber pants for over them. I just kept saying you don't want to ruin your pretty panties. I have to be honest. When she would poop in them I would sometimes pitch them. It depended on how easy the clean up. Newbaby~ I am so glad to hear your US went well. It is such a relief to see a heartbeat. However, I just wanted to let you know that I am pregnant again. My HCG #s have been rising appropriately & my first u/s in on the 21st of July.
