Hello ladies My husband and I had been backpacking through China for 4 weeks when we confirmed that I was 5 weeks pregnant. We continued, I feel wonderful and I am in my 13th week now, and still traveling South East Asia! We would like to continue for another month or so. I've only been to the doctor twice, and everything seems fine (with the limited English:)) Do you have any advice, things I should look out for etc? Would appreciate it, I'm so clueless, and I want to make sure I do nothing that can harm my baby!

I am a second time mommy, currently 38 weeks 3 days pregnant and to be delivered on Thursday. I have to tell you that it is really important that you don't over do it. Take frequent breaks and drink tons of water. It is normal to feel dizzy or faint, as your bodys blood volume will eventually be increased by 50%. You may also notice instances where your heart seems to race, and that too is normal. However, if it is happening all the time, then you should be seen. If you start spotting, then I would advise you to cut your trip short and go home. Otherwise, have fun. One thing I would do is call your OB at home and make an appointment to be seen when you get home. OB offices are very busy and you could end up having to wait up to a month to get in if you don't schedule now. Congratulations by the way!

mjvdec01, thank you for your advice. I have been feeling just as you describe, and was wondering if I should be worried about the heart racing..and thx for the heads up on the ob, never even thought of that! Congrats to you! Thursday, wow, how exciting! All the best!
