i know this sounds like a funny question....but i thought that my feet were just huge due to swelling during pregnancy...well, here i am 7 months post partum--and a whole shoe size bigger! now i am a lot more overweight than i was previous to pregnancy (i weigh about 50 pounds more now than i did before i had my baby) and so i dont know if my feet are just fatter, or did they actually somehow grow?

Yes, I went from a size 10 to a size 11. I am not pleased at all -- shopping for a size 10 was already a royal pain. At about 7 or 8 months pp I donated all of my shoes to a second hand shop.

That happend to me....but mine finally went back to normal. I had my son in November of 2005 and I went from a 7/8 to a 9/10 and they stayed that way so I bought all new shoes...I had my daughter in July of 2007 and a few months after she was born my feet went back down to a 7/8!! It's crazy! None of my big shoes fit anymore...its sooo nice! So I guess you need to have another baby....lol!!

My feet never stayed big after my two pregnancies, but after my second one, I developed Plantar Fascitis (sp?) in my left foot where the area between my arch and heel hurts on the bottom when I walk. I've been told to expect to have this for life. :-( Fortunately it only hurts during the first few steps, then it sort of loosens up and feels normal. I think what causes feet to stay big after pregnancy has to do with ligament stretching. I guess sometimes the ligaments bounce back, sometimes not. I know my condition is like a fallen arch. Think of it as a little momento of the pregnancy! LOL

My feet have returned to size but my butt is a hell of alot bigger, LoL. And also my fingers are still too swollen to put my engagement ring back on. My son is 7 weeks, any ideas of when that will return to normal, or shoudl I just get my ring made a bit bigger?

oh i was still pretty swollen at 7 weeks, you still probably have some de-swelling and weight loss to do so I wouldn't change that ring juuuust yet! :-)

I had noticed that after pregnancy my feet looked bigger/swollen, which I had mentioned to the dr. and he said something about it being the blood volume from the pregnancy? and that the swelling would go away - yet I had to go an entire shoe size up from a size 8/8.5 to a size 9 - 9 months later I am still waiting for the "swelling to go down" - also boobs got bigger during pregnancy and then again more than a cup size bigger about 2 days after delivery when my milk came in, whereas I was told it would go back to pre-pregnancy size after i stop nursing - which was over 6.5months ago!

I gained a lot of weight too. And went from a 8 to a 10 in shoes. Had to get an entire new shoe-drobe
