Question: If Iam breastfeeding and become pregnant will my breast become sore? Iam wondering because sore breast during pregnancy is usaully caused by breast producing milk ducts etc so if i already have then will I still get the tenderness. Also has anyone become pregnany while breastfeeding and experienced a slower letdown? ?

Answer: I personally could answer "yes!" to both questions. lol My breast were VERY tender during the first few weeks of this pregnancy (ds was gumming hard too due to teething). I found out one week after he turned 6 months that I was pregnant. I'm losing my supply right now and the let-down is slower which isn't helping. Are you pregnant or trying? How old is your little one? =

Answer: I found out I was preg with #3 when ds was almost 11mths & for me this was NOT the case. I am 15.5wks preg & have only just weaned my 13mth ds about a week ago, & the only thing that was sore about my boobs were my nipples. My supply also dropped & yes the letdown took awhile to happen, which frustrated ds quite a bit. He became very fussy on the breast & although he wanted to feed, didn't feed for very long & dropped his feeds very quickly, which is one of the reasons I took a preg test. He still LOVED his morning boob, but by 12mths that is the only time he would breastfeed. Now that I've stopped feeding my boobs are feeling tender, but still no where near as sore as with my other 2 pregnancies. =

Answer: Iam trying to get preg. I took a test last thurs and it was negative. So iam waiting to try again this weekend. MY last period was a 49 day cycle. I was getting my period monthly (35 day cyle) starting 3 mnths after birth, then this last time it jumped to 49. so I waited till 49th day and took a test but neg. Iam sure I knew when I was ovulating due to light cramping and discharge so I was sure I was going to be preg but maybe it was to soon. I also didnt take the test at my first morning pee. But a few days after ovulation my let down took a long time which was not normal. And my son went from 6 feeding to 4. Which is ok because he is 9 mnths old. So I was just thinking if Iam preg I wonder if tender breast will be a sign, because they are not sore. =

Answer: I only had 2 pp periods since having him, but he would become a bit fussy anyway just before my period came. I noticed the letdown take a while about a week before I was due for my period, & as ds became fussy around the same time (I assumed my period was days off) I didn't really think about why my milk supply was less, although I was concerned that I was having trouble letting down. When my period didn't come & he continued to be fussy & drop his feeds (& even sometimes pulled a funny face when he drank, like it tasted funny) I wondered if it could be more, so I took a pregnancy test & sure enough got a faint positive. He got used to the taste of milk as it changed, but would still only feed 1-2 times a day, then just after his 1st b'day dropped to just a morning feed. I wanted to keep bf as it helped a little with the morning sickness, but just over a week ago he no longer wanted his morning feed so I was forced to wean, although to be honest I don't mind as I was feeling drained so hopefully my energy will pick up. My nipples got tender very quickly & in some ways it was like feeding a newborn again because it hurt quite a bit when he first latched on, but then once the milk let down it stopped hurting while he fed. Goodluck falling pregnant & you may only get a positive with fmu if you are very early on, but either way let me know what happens.  =

Answer: I'd say I was closer to 17 weeks when my supply was effected thats also when my let down started taking longer. My milk changed over about 20 weeks and thats when my dd self-weaned, she was just over 12 months. My nipples were sore but nothing too horrible. Now that she hasn't bf in over a month my nipples are extremely sensitive, but still not sore.  =
