Thanks Amy. It has been a little tough knowing the tubes are done. A little this first week, I would think "this is the last time..this and that". Ya know. But realistically, I am turnming 39 next month, I would least needa year for recovery of uterus before TTC again, so then I'm 40. It took 15 cycles for Grace, then 37 weeks of pregnancy. I'd be almost 41 at the earliest. Then my quad screen was yucky this time around, and who knows for next time. I was nervous going in for my section having 3 other kids at home etc, etc. you know. But it all turned out very good so I'm going to run with that. I was saying to my dh, its not so much that i wish i didn't have the tubal, cuz I know logically it would be the "unwise" choice for me to keep on haing sections, but I'm sad because it seems like its the end of the baby making, ttc, pregnancy, season of my life. his response was "you can't keep having babies forever, fertility runs out regardless and its not like you're 20 and have had it done, you are almost 40". which is true, seasons change and now I have to be excited to watch these guys all grow up and see whats in store next!! Which is going to be so much much fun as well! oxxoxo

How is everything going?

Name: djh | Date: Feb 24th, 2008 1:17 PM
Congrats Lovemy3-->Four!!! So glad your baby is here and healthy! It is rough having a long section and then chasing 3 other kids plus a newborn. We get through it and carry on don't we? Amy how's the pregnancy going? Lovemy, I felt all the same things about "this is the last time I will be up with a tiny newborn..." etc. I was quite melancholy for awhile but thought it was because my last was a preemie and was sooooo sick in the NICU. I guess we just come to grips with it and then relish the family life. God Bless, and sorry I don't write much. The new nursing career keeps me so busy and working nights makes days off so busy...**sigh**...talk soon.

thanks djh, did you get your tubes tied or just know that it was the last? i am feeling really still sad about it, i hope i perk up soon and deal with it. i think i regret it, but i know i can't change it now. i think a tubal reversal would be too difficult given the obvious adghesions of 4 sections, plus my dr would think i'm crazy. i guess i just wish i had of left the option open. i feel in "mourning" of my fertility i guess. anyhow, i do however have 4 healthy perfect children and thats alot to be thankful for. i don't know what my problem is.

Hey ladies! Wow another boy! djh, glad you are loving your job, thats great. Amy, how ais your pregnancy going? What are your plans for your section? Do you think you'll do your tubes? I am feeling better about it, a little I think. I still wish I didn't do them although I don 't think I'd do a 5th section. i am enjoying baby Gracie. She's so sweet. 5 months old on Monday. hard to believe. I still struggle sometimes knowing "this is it" though. Its really weird. But we're good none the less. Take care and enjoy your pregnancy! savour the moments!

Hey gals! Amy, another boy???? Oh my, get really, really good at sports! I have 3 and it was a good thing I was an athlete my whole life and had plenty of brothers, plus my Dad was a pro-athlete so I was ready for boy babies!!! My poor only daughter was the one who seemed to be out of the loop, she hated football LOL. Lovemy, I was so ambivalent about my tubes being tied, but it was truly for the best, kids get monstrously expensive when they get a bit older as I am sure you know...after the "this is it" feelings I felt really good about the decision. Talk later!

How exciting!!!!!!!I'll be praying for you!!!! What did you decide about the tubes? Number 5? xox

Name: blessedwith4 | Date: Aug 11th, 2008 8:01 PM
Hey Amy, I saw your post to the other lady on the other thread. I know thats a hard decision. Some days, I know I made the right choice and others I dwell and even cry because I did. To be totally honest, I wish I didn't. Not because I'd have #5, but the option would be there. I was praying about that today as a matter of fact, and during that time, felt though, that even if I made the mistake and having them done and if I'm truly meant to have more God is SO much bigger than a tubal ligation. They actually have a higher failure rate than vasectomies. So, if it is truly His will, it'll happen. Sounds crazy huh, but I actually really believe that. God has so much grace for us, and I'm glad nothing is impossible with Him. Anyhow, just thought I'd share that. xox

i have the paper signed to have it done..but whether i go through with it or not i am unsure..i think i will leave it up to the dr..i have a really really good dr and i think he will tell me the honest truth...its a hard decision to make..and you are so right god is bigger and HE will determine our will so...

Amy I will be thinking of you often as you get closer to baby's birthday! So glad you and Blessed are doing so well and I continue to pray for healthy, happy children for you. FYI, I struggled so much with the very correct decision to have my tubes tied...I had such difficult c-sections and complications, but...now I am so glad. God Bless!

Hello to all, I am new to the board. My name is Devita and my fiance and I just found out yesterday that we are pregnant. This will be the first for him, and 4th for me. I have had 3 csections. I am not that nervous, but however I am just a tad bit. I just wanted to meet folks who have had multiple csections and hopefully be an encouragement to anyone who needs it. I can't believe I am here so soon.. I tested positive at 9dpo. We are sooooooooooooooooo happy.. Baby dust and prayers to all for a safe, and healthy pregnancy/delivery!
