"u just make me better preciate ya!!!!" What? Can somebody translate for me? You came on here running your mouth when you know nothing of this forum or the people on it. The advice I gave you was genuine advice and as I said before you reacted like a defensive child, yet try to call other immature. *smells a hypocrite* The only reason I'm bothering is because I know your little sob story is complete bullshit and you can just be added to the fake pile. Perhaps you haven't taken any of your english courses in school yet. Might want to sign up for them next semester. ↑

Anyway...I get what your saying. As for the comment about government help. Isn't that what it's for??? I'm kind of offended because hell, yeah I was on medicaid. I got food stamps and??? Does that make me worthless??? Not everyone can step into situations in perfect situations. What if this girl had her shit together enough to not have to be on government help but all that fell apart when her fiancee died??? See this is why people like me had to have a friggin panic attack going in to sign up for government help. I was at the point of giving up thinking about attitudes like that looking at me because I got help when I needed it. SO I could have a healthy baby, be healthy, get the doctor's care-which if I hadn't done that I would have hardly gone to the doctor from not having money and I would have probably ended up with a dead baby, or dead myself. But I guess deep down you guys wouldn't have cared. Just imagine though one day if your daughters ended up in Mizz's shoes of being pregnant and losing the father of their child. Or in the situation of being raped and not prepared for a baby. Would you treat them like their whores who are worthless because life gave them lemons. You know I'm sorry that I had to use you and your husband's money to help me, but at the same time I thank you because you saved my friggin son and he is beautiful. It was the little bit of help I needed to overcome the bull that someone else put on me. Also I don't feel so bad because my parents alwways paid taxes and guess what-I will be for the rest of my life, so it will totally come back to you. So can we please stop digging on things that can be hurtful for people, or things people don't have control over. If you have a problem with Mizz-address it directly. ↑

uh, actually, you're saying you don't care if the way you speak offends people, yet we aren't "allowed" to comment to you and offend you? get over it! no one cares about your age. your attitude in your posts shows your immaturity and shows you aren't ready to be a mom. ↑

So... I pretty much agree with everything V has ever said ever. Haha. that's my input. Now, I don't pay taxes, but when I do, at least I can be comfortable knowing that my money might be helping someone in need. There is absolutely nothing wrong with seeking help and receiving it. If anything, it's admirable to show humility and not be ashamed by it. ↑

I actually like V, so I feel pretty privileged that I got to help pay for her child XP ↑

Thank you ladies. I have to say that it is something that I feel bad about especially when I think about how people DO feel about having chunks of their hard earned paychecks going out to people who aren't working. I mean I felt HORRIBLE!! And then to hear people expressing it and that they seem to think any girl on government help is going to be a slacker and bad mother-god that gets to me. I've experienced the negative attitudes and it hurt me because I was always a hard-worker. Always on the straight and narrow and from one traumatic event I'm now a statistic, and get looks that I never thought I'd get in a million years. I have to say I've gotten over it somewhat because it is true that my son probably wouldn't be here if it weren't for that help. I was working when I was pregnant but my son's father popped up one day and hit me in my stomach and from then on I had problems with my pregnancy and couldn't work for awhile. Things got a little better and I tried to go get another job that was less strenuous and by then I was showing and no one would hire me. I won't say they didn't hire me because I was pregnant-hell they might have been able to tell that I was weak and sick and in pain and may have thought I was a risk. Soooo I can't blame them. I ended up being induced 3 weeks early because of severe preeclampsia and that's why I say it saved us. I already didn't want to go into the hospital, but if I didn't have insurance, I probably wouldn't have gone when I got my severe headache and stiffening of my neck and back. At the point I got to the hospital it was an emergency situation, and my blood pressure was steadily rising. I can't remember what it was, but it was at the level that they were shocked that I hadn't gone into having seizures already. So that lets me know that yes the taxpayers creating that option saved our lives. Thanks Teddy!!! LOL!!! Also thanx addysmummy (sorry I don't remember your name). It's true that some people are working the system and popping out babies just to be taken care of-I've seen it, but I'm not one of them. I like to say that it was a hand up when I got knocked down instead of a handout. ↑

Sorry to get off subject but I just had a thought....what's the story behind your children's names??? I love hearing these stories. ↑

Ohhh fun. Well my daughter's name is Elizabeth Rae. I was very picky about her name. I wanted something elegant, cute and fun. Something that could fit her age as she grew older, and something that would make people smile when they heard it. Elizabeth was the elegant part, probably more appropriate for when she's older. Ellie I think is very cute and it makes me smile :) Perfect for infancy to teens. So not much there, I just thought it was the perfect name haha. As for her middle name... I wanted it to flow nicely with her first name, and probably not more than one syllable. I had a lot of time to think it over and it actually hit me when I was listening to the song "Here comes the sun" by the beatles. That song means a lot to me. When I was about ten years old a man named Don, who was like a father to me, gave me a snowglobe (well, there wasn't any snow, it was glitter... and instead of a snowman there were bears having a picnic) it also played that song when it was winded up. I loved it and I played it constantly. I would wind it up as tightly as I possibly could and fall asleep listening to it. Well, shortly after that he was hospitalized. He was a smoker and had lung cancer. He was actually due to get his surgery on the day that he died. The name "Rae" comes from "ray of sunshine." It was just my way of paying tribute to him. ↑

How precious!!! That is an awesome story. Just think how much meaning and purpose you have given to her by her having such a great and meaningful name. Later in her life when she explains that to people, it will be something she carries with a sense of pride!!! ↑

There are also alot of people who DO work who also get government help. I know people who work their asses off and just dont make enough to do it in their own. Be it lack of education or just plain hard times. I was on medicaid with my daughter. I was 19 and workin at wal-mart. I worked my entire pregnancy though i wasnt supposed to. I went into labor at 26 weeks. Luckily, they stopped it. I couldnt afford to not work so i went back. They let me be a cashier and sit on a stool. I was at work when i went into labor. (This was before Ryan had grown up and wasnt really in the picture. He was to busy lying and cheating at the time. But thats the past) So i am definately thankful for those who understand they are helping othere n need and dont bitch about it. I mean i do draw the line at cash assistance and food stamps. But dont look down on those who are on them. You can only receive them for 2 years of your life, so if thats what helps some people out for that period of time, more power to them. ↑

Well, my husband was in Iraq and I was here. We had just found out we were having a girl. I told him how much I loved the name Addison but he wasn't too keen on it. So out of respect for him I went to babynames dot com and gathered up all the girls names and named them off. He told me he liked the name Adriana which I was fine with because I wanted to call her Addy. And bam, there we have it lol. ↑
Name: V9653 | Date: Jul 24th, 2008 5:35 PM
Adriana IS such a pretty name!!! Also Addy is an adorable nickname, and gave you an adorable screenname. ↑
