Second questin.... My son also through out the day seems to have a tummy ache like after time he eats....not sure what to make of the tummy aches!?!? ↓
Hi, I would check with the pediatrician about whether you need to wake him up to eat. It does sound great, but I totally get how it might make you nervous. It's normal for babies that age to suffer from gas and tummy aches. You can massage his belly, or bicycle his legs to help. I think if he has food issues he would be crying a lot, spitting up a lot or having bloody stools. ↑
my son is 8 and half weeks and he sleeps around 9 and then doesn't wake up till 5. so i think you're ok. you are lucky thing that he's sleeping that long. i don't think sleep is a bad thing, i think it's good for them for development. ↑
if he appears to be gaining weight ok I would not stress. Some lucky ones are sleepers. My ds was sleeping till 4-5 am at 6 days...and at 5 weeks still only wakes up once to eat at night. He weighs 14 pounds now at 5weeks so he's doing great! Are you burping him real well? Could be his tummy problem....my ds has bad gas and problems getting rid of it. ↑
i never woke up my daughter when she started sleeping through the night at around 6 weeks. she has slept through the night ever since too...we are the lucky ones aren't we? i never asked the doctor though about it, but she gained adequate weight (she is 100th percentile for height and weight!) and is a very happy healthy baby, she is 7 months now. about the tummy aches....are you formula feeding or breast feeding? ↑
thanks for all your feed back..umm to answer margie.. he is breatfeed.....i do burp him just sometimes i dont think its enough.... i give him that gas med. when it seems too bad!!! i guess i am i luck one about him sleeping but i will check with his dr..... he gaining weight and growing like a weed.... ↑
hey try to figure out if theres anything that YOU may be eating that is causing the gas...i know that sometimes if mommy is eating something that doesn't agree with LO's tummy it can cause some gassy issues. good luck and congrats on the sleeping through the night! :-) we are lucky ones... ↑
