pain in my lower left side

Hi I am 5 weeks and I have I little bite of pain in my lowwer left side buy the ovary I guess the pain is off and on for the last 5 days of my missed period .Do you think is normal? ↓

hi , i m in the 8th week of pregnancy, and even i feel the pain inthe lower left side of abdomen, specially while getting up from anywhere like sofa etc, i feel sudden pain, ob visit is on fri , anybdy has same experience? ↑

Yes I would say that this is normal. During my first pregnancy I had a slight pain in the lower left abdomen and my ob said it was normal. Now I think I may be pg again and am having the same thing. ↑

I'm five and a half months pregnant, and when I get really bad pains, taking a hot bath seems to help. ↑

I am 6 weeks and I have had pain in my lower left side as well, must just be from the changing hormones we are experiencing. ↑

Hi, I'm in the 9th week and have had twinges like that off and on. Dr. said it was ligaments stretching and not to worry if no spotting. I found laying down helped a lot plus lots of H2O.  ↑

I am almost 7 months pregnant, and I too have alot of pain on my left side. I am just sure its ok. But if you are really worried about it, go visit the DR and he/she will reassure you. ↑

Well when I had went to the doctor for the same kind of pain around the area of my right ovary, the doctor had checked me for a syst on my ovary. Come to find out I am pregnant for twins!!!! If I were you I would consult your doctor. ↑

I am 6 months pregnant and just yesterday I started getting pains in my lower left side. I have a Doctor's visit next week and plan on mentioning it then. Happy to hear that it's not just me though. ↑

Not sure. I am a couple of days late for my period and I am also experiencing pain around both ovaries off and on. I would like to know, is this a sign of pregnancy? ↑

I'm 6 weeks pregnant and am experiencing the same pain....my first dr appt is Monday, I hope all goes well...I had a miscarriage 3 1/2 years ago, and I have a 3 year old son....i don't remember this pain while pregnant with him...... ↑

I am 6 months pregnant and am having pain on my left side, its been 2 hours now and it does not go away, I also took tylenol and it doesn't seem to be working. What should I do for this pain ↑

I am just amazed at how many of us have pain on the lower left side! I am 6 wks, and have had persistant, but not intense or intolerable, pain on lower left side for almost two wks. Had a miscarriage in March so of course I'm a bit concerned. Going in for early sonogram next week - maybe they'll find what's causing it. ↑

I am so glad i am not alone. I am feeling the same pain in my lower left abdomen, and was getting very concerned. With all the things that could go wrong, i get a little (or maybe a lot) paranoid. I am only 25 so i hope all goes well! Please fill us all in on what this could be!! :) ↑

I am about 6 wks prgnt. and i have been getting pains on my left side with a really annoying pain on all my leg down to my toes. I been having it for days, i also feel that pain on my arm too, not sure why I am feeling that. I feel as if the blood isnt flowing right? ↑

I was suprised when i read your symptoms. I am about 5 weeks.I too have left side pain that is spreading to my arm and now my back. I am starting to worry. This is my 2nd pregnancy and I never had this before. I am going to try and get in with the doctor tomorrow. ↑

I too have had pain (stretching or pulled muscle like pain) and now my groin is sore. It all started when I turned over in bed the other night and now it has been this dull pain ever since. I don't have any other symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy, so I am just hoping this is consistent with the moving and stretching of my body, even though it is only 5 weeks. This is all so scary!  ↑

Hi I lost my first baby at 15 wks, i experienced cramp like feeling in my left side near my ribs, my doc said it was nothing to worry about. Im not sure if it was a sign or not that I was going to loose the baby, but im not 5wks preg and experiencing the pains all over again, does anyone have similiar pains? ↑

the same thing happened to me! They thought I was having an ectopic pregnancy or ovarian cyst at 4 1/2 weeks...turns out its TWINS!! :)

If you have any pain...make sure to check with your doctor...an get lots of rest...and prayer! ↑

Until you see your Dr. "try" not to worry about the pain or discomforts you feel. I have a history of ectopic pregnancies...2 to be exact. I'm 5w7d preg, and was freaking out when i started to feel a persistant dull pain on my right side & lower back area...I thought NOT AGAIN! I went straight to the ER & had an early ultra sound done. Turns out the pain was an ovarian cyst that ruptured, & I'm glad I'm on track with this pregnancy...hopefully it'll remain that way. Good luck to you all...please don't scare or self diagnose yourselves reading about other peoples symptoms. Each pregnancy is different, & so are the pains & discomforts that accompany it. Good luck again!!!  ↑

I had pain in my lower left side and left hip area for the first few weeks of pregnancy. I was so scared that it was an etopic pregnancy. They had me go in for and ultra sound that did not show anything. They think that it is a corpus luteum cyst. From what I read it is supposed to hurt less when you get into your 6th week and that is what has happened to me. I also read that some may feel the discomfort until week 10.  ↑

aches and pains are normal- your skin and uterus are growing so you're experiencing growing pains. sometimes they can get intense but don't worry about them- they will go away after awhile.  ↑

I also have had the left side pain from about the top of my rib cage all the way to my hip and in a little. Everyday is different. I went to my doctor, and it is still too early to see the baby, but my HCG levels were doubling. My first ultrasound is in 2 weeks. My doctor thinks everything is fine. It was so great to find that there are other people out there with this problem. I kept thinking that there must be something wrong with me! ↑

I'm 5 1/2 weeks preg and have the same pain. Lower left side. Feels like ovulation pains and is constant. When I lay down it doesn't hurt. I'm so scared!! I think it's definatley my ovary. I had an early ultrasound yesterday but won't find anything out for 3-5 days. I'm so nervous about it. ↑

dzny: it's actually VERY NORMAL, it's lower ligament pain from your ligament stretching.  ↑

Thnks for the reply. I'm just concerned because it's on one side and it's so definate and in one place. I'm 99% sure it feels like my ovary. I'm just scared, I hope everythings ok. When I sit up it's sorse, when I lay down it practically dissapears.
