Hi girls and sorry ive been away ages! Ive had sooo much going on. Il update you on where i am - currently 19weeks+ and im having a boy!!! We are both happy that everythings fine with the baby and so far s good, however its not all been good news. Last week at my scan they noticed that my amniotic fluid was low and was diminishing. This is really serious and me an dh were so scared i would go into premature labour. I was put onto bedrest and told to drink as much water as i could. The doc thought the babys urinary system wasnt working. We were sent for a 3D scan which i had friday and on there he said the baby seems to be fine and he thinks im not providing enough liquid. As you know im living in a very hot country and have to suffer up to 40 degrees C everyday. Anyway i was already drinking a lot but the doc said double it and dont do anything. So now im just a drinking and peeing machine. Im going through 14-28 bottles of water per day!! Its hard but il do it if it means maintaining the baby a bit longer. There is a chance now il have early labour or cesarean but the next few weeks will show if the fluids go back up or stay low. Say some prayers girls!!! x x ↑

Just wanted to say welcome to all the new girls and im so sorry for your losses. Its a tough experience to go through and not so many people understand. Thats why this thread and others are good therapy. I was pregnant in the 3rd cycle after my mc last october. I had a suspected chemical pg the 2nd cycle. Aprilbaby im so so sorry. What happened? I know you must be feeling so sad now but when you feel better come and tell us, we are all here for you. To everyone else congrats on getting so far and i know how you are feeling, im still scared every day that something will go wrong! But try not to get too anxious as this just makes things worse. Pray and drink water and eat healthy, get plenty of sleep and this will make you feel better that at least with the part thats under your control you are doing your best!! x x x ↑

I was pretty excited when AF came and now i'm done so i'm ready to get back into the baby making business...lol! My obgyn says to try for a baby every other day - So we are taking the Dr.s orders to heart :-) God willing we will get pregnant this month. - Planklg I am not on fertility friend - I will look into that - The dr. wants me to monitor ovulations b/c I have used those Ovulation sticks and I can't seem to predict my ovulation. - MissP you are definately in my prayers!! - Baby dust to everyone as well as myself!!!!!! This site has definately been a lifesaver for me, b/c it gives me someone to talk to instead of just holding everything in. Thanks girls!!! ↑

Hi Ladies,
Miss P-So happy you're doing well. What hot country do you live in? H20 is so good for you! I'm doing well. I had a litlle scare because I took the 1st trimester screening and my bloods were off. HCG too high if you could believe that lol!!!So that put me at increased risk for DS. But I did CVS and got the pre-lim results and all is clear and healthy
with my BABY GIRL!!! I thought I was having a boy!! I'm so relieved and now I can relax a bit more. I'm 38 so I wouldn't recommend the screening because the older you get, the more the numbers can be off. How is everybody else? AMB,April Baby, Bryandi, Claire, Phib, Susie etc....
I hope you are all well. xoxoxo,Lee ↑

Hi plankg - congrats on your little girl, how nice! Im so pleased that there was nothing wrong after all. You must be so relieved. Im still quit stressed but trying to relax as much as i can. The numbers on th fluid are still low but not decreasing rapidly so thats at last one good thing. Im 20wks 4days today and i just keep worrying that hes going to come early. I know im being paranoid but i cant help it. Why am i torturing myself like this!! Im in the Dominican Republic and me and dh are still waiting for our paperwork to come through so we can go home. We were supposed to get it 3 weeks ago and weve had an agonizing weight, especially with this fluid business. Its to hot for me here and i need to gt back to my nice cold england! Never thought id want to go home but there you go! Where hav the other girls gone do you think? Come on everyone, check in x x x ↑

planklg congratulations on the girl!!! That is so exciting. Sorry you had a scare. How far along are you now? Did they find out what you were having at the NT Scan? I have mine in 3 weeks. So far I am doing well. I am still exhausted for the most part. In 4 weeks I will be out of the first trimester and hopefully will have more energy. Good luck phib & susie! ↑

Hey Miss P and Bryandi-wish I could give you both big hugs right now. Miss P-My mom is from England and I'm 1/2 English!! It's hard to stay calm but I believe you will be fine and keep up with the H20. Bryandi-hey girl-I'm 13 weeks tomorrow. I did my nt scan at 11 weeks and b/w at 10 weeks so they knew my b/w when I was in the scan. The neck fold was perfect at 1.1 but the papp was a litlle low .54 and hcg a whopping 2.8!!!!I guess I prayed a little too hard for my hcg to be higher this time! So my b/w is what made the number go down but all is good with my healthy bub. The screeenings can be way off so let me know your results and just know there are alot of false positives for increased risks. I went ahead and did CVS and thats when I got good results and found out it was a girl. Love and Hugs,Lee ↑

Phib, I don't know what I am having yet. That will be determined in July. I am thinking girl, but all my symptoms more closely resemble my pregnancy with my son than with my daughter. I still feel girl, though. Not sure why. I had a feeling about my first two and they were both right so I could very well have a little lady in my belly right now :) I told my parents when I was 6 weeks pg. They came to stay with us and I knew they would figure it out when I didn't have a beer with them and dh and when I refused my normal coffee in the morning, so I just told them. I just told my closest friend when I was 8 weeks. Other than that and a couple of neighbors I haven't told anyone. I plan on letting the world know after my scan on June 10th. Plank I thought we were fairly close. I will be 11 weeks on Tuesday. That makes us like 2 weeks and 3 days apart! Since I will be a c-section that makes us a week or so closer! Boy am I tired. Off to bed. ↑

Hi Phib-I told my close family and friends because if something bad happened I would tell them that to. Others, I told at 3 months after my screening/CVS. Bryandi-yay we are so close. I think I'm feeling girl for you too. We're going to have sweet little goblets for Thanksgiving!!:) ↑

Our thread keeps dropping:(!! How is everybody?
Bryandi girl how are you?? I went to my 14 1/2 week visit and doc checked for heartbeat and she was pumping strong. I go for my big 21 week u/s in July so I'm excited for that. All is good. I'm taking long walks and doing prenatal yoga which is really helping with my pregnancy. I hope everyone is well and would love to hear some updates. Miss you all,Lee ↑

Hi Ladies!! Feeling some what down:( did get my AF. It's been 7 months since my lost and nothing is happening. My next move is to get a second opinion. Any advice??? ↑
Name: planklg | Date: Jun 6th, 2008 4:07 PM
Hi Phib,
After my m/c I went to an endocrinologist to check hormones etc. I found out I was a little low on folic so when I got pregnant 2nd time she put me on a very high folic prenatal called prenate. Have you done b/w for hormones etc..? I definitely think it's a good idea to see if you need anything to help sustain pregnancy/ or get pregnant. Good luck to you and I'm sure your day will come.Lee ↑

Phib1 - I am feeling the same way. I do expect my af will arrive tomorrow or Sunday and I took a test this morning and nothing. It has been one year since I found out I was pregnant next month. So I truly understand. ↑

Phib1 and April Baby - Best of luck to both of you. I am new here. Is there a generic post or info anywhere about the etiquette here, when to start new threads, who's posting on which threads, etc? If not, I'm sure I will figure it out over time. I am one week, 2 days post D&C, so it will be probablya few months before I am TTC again, but I'm looking forward to it. ↑

Hello everyone!!!! Sorry I have been MIA...I am now 11+ weeks. I haven't been online at much....I haven't been sick, but I have generally just not felt well and for the last 3 to 4 weeks I have rushed home from work and lounged on the sofa. I have seen my little bean via us already and have a FHR of 167, and my little one is a very active lI have done a ton of ultrasounds (I am a sonographer), but the experience is much different when it is you and your little baby....I am so amazed at how it's little legs and arms move and wiggle aroung..he hehe....I still havent' been for my first OB appt, but go first thing Tuesday. Then sometime before my 14th week he is going to send me to a NT first trimester screen. Did any of you girls have that ? Anyway I was so glad that you guys were doing well ↑
Name: phib1 | Date: Jun 6th, 2008 10:30 PM
Thanks planklg, I will look into that on Monday:)
Welcome beckybear:) sorry for your lost. We are all here for one another no real etiquette if you want to start a new thread you are welcome too.
AMB happy to have you back. Sorry you are feeling that way. Something is missing within you. Don't worry to much, we are here to listening. ↑

Phib, sorry AF showed her ugly face again. I would talk to your doctor
and see what they can do for you. My doctor put me on Clomid for my DS after we
had tried for only 5 mths with no luck. 2nd round of Clomid and we were pg. sometimes your body
just needs a kickstart. I would also have your hormones checked. Turned out if I had had my hormones checked,
I probably wouldn't have needed the Clomid because I have hypothyroidism. It made my periods irregular and sometimes I don't
think I even ovulated. I hope you find the answers you need. april baby, I am sorry things have been soo tough for you. It has to happen,
has your doctor made any suggestions to you about what options are available for you? Maybe you won't get your positive until post AF's due date.
Sometimes the hormones just take a while to get high enough. becky, no etiquette except that we all try to be nice, supportive and understanding of one another.
If you want to create your own thread go ahead! AMB hi there! glad to hear things are still going really well for you!!. I will be 13 weeks this coming Tuesday and
my morning sickness (and general feeling of yuckiness) have disappeared. I really hope that it is just the natural course of things. My bb's are still a bit tender, so I am
hoping all is well in there. I am still pretty tired most of the time too. I have my NT scan this upcoming Monday. I am very anxious to get another look at my little bean. That
is pretty much the only reason I am doing the scan. I don't care what the results are. Down Syndrome or not I will love my baby to death! I just want another peek at him/her! Lee,
good to hear that your 14 1/2 week visit went well! That is great that you are trying to stay active and get some exercise! I can't wait till my energy levels get back up because then I am
going to try harder to get in more exercise. We have an above ground pool so I am going to try to convince myself to get in that on nice days because swimming is really good exercise and it is gentle
on a pg mom's body. But again that is when I get energy again.... lol. I am off to bed ladies! ↑

Hi ladies-Becky Bear-welcome:) Bryandi-so good to hear you are well. The 2nd trimester has given me more energy. AMB-great to hear from you too. I did the nt screening where they measure the neck fold, and draw blood for hcg and papp levels. There's a high false positive so just know that going in. I did know that but was still alarmed when I got an increased risk. I probably wouldn't do it again because I'm 38 and when you're late 30's the bloods tend to be off and I had unnecessary worry. I went ahead and did CVS and all was good. I do think it's good if you're younger. So cool that you're a sonographer in this very exciting time for you!!Susie, Miss P-how are you gals? Lee ↑

Hello All!~ Welcome Beckybear - sorry haven't been on here in awhile - I haven't been feeling the best :-( - I got my AF a week and half before it was due to come - But it was odd very very light for the first five days and heavy one day and then medium flow the last day. Strange right - lately I haven't been feeling like myself. I've been feeling sick after I eat, almost like my first pregnancy symptoms so I took a test but it was negative. I have been feeling discouraged lately, but am working thru it - my husband keeps my spirits up. Someday soon - i'm praying. So hopefully another month will bring good news. I keep thinking if i'm not pregnant in like 3 to 4 months my Obgyn said she would like to put me on clomid so I know at some point I will be preggers -I think that keeps me going a lot of the time :-) Congrats to all the expecting mommies on this thread! - Sooo happy for you ladies. And for the ones who are still trying like me - baby dust to everyone of us. ↑

Hi everyone and sending babydust to all of you post mc girls or those ttcing. I know how you are feeling and id like to encourage you that it will happen, just keep hanging in there and stay positive because that really helps - if you can be as happy and relaxed as you can - given the circumstances thats not easy, but it does help. So im 23wks now, little one kicking every now and then just to let me know hes ok. I have a number of complications and as iv just moved long distance im having to start all over again with new doctors and hospitals so its a bit of a nightmare. My last doctors told me to be on bedrest and that i have low amniotic fluid and also now a problem with the placenta maturing fast - which is a major cause of stillbirth - and yet my new doctors dont seem to be in any hurry to see me. Theres so much red tape and procedure here - im getting annoyed about it, so if i dont see a consultant soon im going to call and blast someone i think!! Anyway, just letting you know how i am and what stage im at. Im thinking of all you girls, even tho i dont hav a lot of time to post at the moment. Take care!! x x ↑
