Eventhough I think most of you already know........I went to the dr last night, and I brought my pregnancy test with.....she said Like I suspected, eventhough they are now old, they were deffinate positives...the rest were negitives...she did a urine test at urgent care, and that came back negitive. She checked me and she said it is really hard to tell because she is not my normal OB, but she said my uterus may have been a little inlarged.....When she was feeling around my stomach she almost made me jump off the table in pain when she got my right side...Unfortunatly the u/s tech had gone home for the night, her MAIN concern was a tubal pregnancy, her second thought was a chemical pregnancy.....They did a blood test and said they would call me last night only if it came back Positive...I never heard anything back. She said first response doesnt just have false positives especially 3 of them, so since I am not on any fertility drugs or something that could potentially explain a false positve, she said it is deffinately safe to asume I was pregnant...This dr was VERY conviced it was a tubal pregnancy, but the dumb bitch sent me home, because she wanted to go home...I think different. Tubal pregnancies are suppose to be very painful....Im not in that much pain at all. I asked her how it could be a chemical pregnancy if there is no bleeding, she said in some cases of chemical pregnancies you dont bleed for a couple weeks later, and usually the drs will just consider it your period....dont know if that is true or not because she was stupid.....I believe I had a chemical pregnancy....all we know is I was deffinately pregnant at some point, and I was haveing MY pregnancy symptoms otherwise I would have never of even tested. But Either way I am NOT pregnant now. so I am very disapointed, emotional, and angry.....dont know why I am angry but I am....I woke up this morning with such horrible cramps I couldnt even get out of bed to get dressed, so needless to say I didnt go to work for the second day in a row....If my cramps persist I will go back to the dr JIC it coud be a tubal pregnancy, but it is probably my body going baack to the horrible endometriosis type cramps.

the dr was stupid, she just said if the pain gets worse come in....Im like I have endometriosis...Im always in pain when not pregnant...I dont know what a tubal pregnancy feels like at all!! So how would I know? SHe blew me off and sent me home because her shift was over...and I am NOT going back to urgent care, and They cant squeeze me into my dr at all!! I dont know what to do. I dont think its a tubal pregnancy, but until I know for sure, every little cramp will have me worried

thanks....I think it was a chemical. tubal pregnancies are very fatal if not treated. I feel like shit but not like Im dieing....Im a little mentally off.....I just want MY DOCTOR. Or at least a REAL obgyn...I want something for the cramps the darvicets they gave me dont do crap....with my history of cramps they ned to be medically controlled or I will go nuts and tell them just to take everything out.

:'( Sorry db *hug* Do you have an appointment to see your doctor? All of this sounds a little iffy to me like no one is really sure. Can they do any tests to confirm or deny a chemical or tubal pregnancy? An ultrasound maybe?

I'm really sorry DB, it's so hard to go through. *Hugs* everything will get better though. I wish they could just tell you for sure, you'd think they'd know by a US or something :( Or at least have called you back and told you your levels!!! What jerks :(

they should do a beta bloodtest not just a standard pregnancy one

oh and just to let you know when you have a tubal pregnancy you dont get ANY symtoms untill about 6weeks and 8weeks the tube will rupture if left untreated and you also have really high hcg levels with a tubal but not 100%sure on that

actually...... it's very common to get negative tests with an ectopic pregnancy :P

"As an emergency. Suddenly, without warning a woman is very unwell, collapses and is taken to hospital. A positive pregnancy test is found and she is transferred to theatre PDQ and a ruptured ectopic is found with bleeding into the abdomen.
The second group are known to be at risk of an ectopic pregnancy, for example she may have had an ectopic previously, may have undergone tubal surgery or assisted conception (such as IVF). Early detection of ectopics are high in this group of women as we routinely check that the pregnancy is where it should be fairly early on. Less than 20% of ectopics present this way.
Finally, the most common presentation is with a missed period, positive pregnancy test, some abdominal pain (usually to one side), and some irregular vaginal bleeding. Some women report fainting or shoulder-tip pain.

What Tests are Used to Diagnose Ectopics?

Obviously first of all a pregnancy test. If a sensitive urinary ELISA test is negative, then ectopic pregnancy is virtually excluded. This may be backed up with a blood sample being taken."
now read about 3lines up where it pretty much says "if you have a negative pregnancy test then its pretty much excluded" as your levels are high so its ocviously not that common. and anyway db had a positve test

Sorry to hear about that disappointment. I imagine you should just take it easy. I have heard of ectopic pregnancy symptoms showing up as early as five weeks, due to a couple of personal testimonies from ladies who have been through it. I doubt that is what you have though. So sorry to hear again.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate the input....Analmonkey: You cant copy and paste!!! Only I can do that...lol jk thank you : )........anyways, so there was no way in hell I was going back to urgent care, so I was fighting all day to get in to see ANY LICENCED obgyn...Finally after being very dramatic, rude, bitchy, and alot of acting, they got me squeezed in. (Lol after they told me it was imposible)...right!!. So, the Ob said my hcg levels las night were 18, which they considered negitive. The ob today did another hcg test and had it returned state and it was at 14, she said if I was never pregnant that it would have been 0, she said herself that the pregnancy test that I did at home and brought her as well, were deffinately positive. She said the dr I saw last night, is dumb and she knows who it was too, they out work out of the same company, (southwest medical). She said the tubal pregnancy is out and not to worry about that at all. she said she will most deffinately call this a chemical pregnancy. I asked her if it was some sort of a miscarriage why I am not bleeding, she said that is fairly normal. Not haveing a period isnt normal at all though, so she perscribed me Medroxyprogesterone to help start my period. I dont know if I want to take it til I consult my regular OB because It seemed to me like she just wanted me to take it so I can start my period and get on my bc so I dont become pregnant again....I am very upset by all this and disapointed that i had another failed pregnancy, but Like I said before it wasnt exactly a planned thing, so maby it was best?...I dont know Im looking at the bright side to it. We were just as happy and okay with it as if it was planned, but we really wanted to buy a house before haveing number 3...It just really depresses me to think I have been pregnant a total of 5 times and just have my two hansome boys to show for it.
