I think if you have this virus you are supposed to have a c-section, your doctor will know more.

Breastfeeding is totally fine unless you are HIV post_tive,Have hepat_tis, and or Tuberculosis.

00, you are correct. There is no cause to be concerned. I have hpv and b___stfed my daughter for 10 mos. w/ no problem. As for delivery, if you have evidence of any open sores/warts around the v____al area at the time of delivery, then your Dr. may recommend a c-section as there is a possibility that the virus can be spread during delivery but only if there are exposed or open warts (outbreak). Otherwise, it's fine. I delivered my daughter naturally w/ no problem but it is a call your Dr. will make at the time. Don't consume yourself w/ worry. That is the last thing you wanna do b/c for those w/ HPV, stress can actually cause an outbreak. But rest easy, it is not a huge deal.

Hi Lulu - December 23

I have/had the cancer causing type as well and have bf twice.

I forgot - December 23

to add: I gave birth v____ally three times, but then it's the cancer type not the wart type..

THIS IS A QUESTION I WOULD MOST DEFFINATLY TALK TO YOUR LICENCED DOCTOR ABOUT AND NOT JUST GET THE UNEDUCATED OPINION OF OTHER WOMEN. YOU DO NOT WANT TO TAKE THE RISK OF SOMEONES OPINION AGAINST YOUR CHILDS HEALTH. ASK YOUR DOCTOR. DOES YOUR DR. KNOW YOU HAVE HAD HPV??? GOT WARTS ONE TIME ABOUT 7 YEARS AGO, (TWO YEARS BEFORE MY DAUGHTER WAS BORN) AND HAVE NEVER AGAIN HAD AN OUTBREAK SINCE, HOWEVER, WHEN I TOLD MY DR. SHE INSISTED I HAVE A C SECTION JUST IN CASE BECAUSE A VAGINAL BIRTH COULD LEAD TO INFECTIONS AND BLINDNESS IN BABIES, EVEN WHEN NO WARTS ARE PRESENT. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU TELL YOUR DR. IF S/HE DOEN'T KNOW ALREADY AND DISCUSS IF A C-SECTION MAY BE NECESSARY.

I'm the author of the original question. My OB said c-section only necessary if i had an herpes outbreak at time of delivery. I trusted her judgement. No outbreak occurred, and I delivered twins v____ally. They are 9 months old now. I stopped b___stfeeding when they were about four months. The babies seem fine. And my huge nipples shrunk back to pre-pregnancy size and look normal now (no tiny warts!)

this is a little late for b___stfeeding i guess...so i guess i contracted herpes 2 in feb of 2010...my husband and i have been married since jan of 2010 and in a relationship since dec of 2008. I had a little baby girl in feb of 2011. i b___stfed her for the first 2 months...i got some test results back today and they just now told me about this...i have never had an outbreak that i know of. Does that mean my baby has it since she did come out v____ally..but again i was not aware of this virus until today about an hour ago and the lady on the phone couldn't tell me why no one called me or if my child has it and i needed to contact someone else. i am really freaking out because it's the weekend over in japan and i just need a little bit of closure i guess. i recently found out my husband had been unfaithful about 2 months ago and everything else came back neg...but then again i have had this for a while. i have never cheated on him once...unlike him i did mean my vows...please someone give me some advice on this...sorry to put my business out there but this is what it led up to.
