Hello Ladies... I was wondering if anyone had any feedback to share on whether they have been advised to keep the same OB (if possible) that may have already delivered one child from a c-section for your next pregnancy? I had a daughter almost 2 years ago, and since then my insurance changed and I met with a new doctor who also happens to be closer to me. I recently found out I was pregnant again, still very early on, but at the same time I got a call from my former OB to say she now accepted my insurance. She had performed a very routine c-section for me with my daughter with no complications... how important do you think it is that I take the opportunity to have her deliver #2 being that she has already performed the first c-section.
I dont mind going to her, but I do really feel that this new OB's closeness will be so much more convenient to me with all the doctor visits over the pregnancy..... thanks ladies!

There are several variables here. For one thing do you want another c-section? Since you've only had one c-section you're a good candidate for a VBAC, if you want one. If you want a VBAC you'll want to go to the doctor that supports that.
If you'll be having another C-Section I prefer a doctor that knows my history, especially if they'll be performing surgery, that's just my preference.
Hope that helps,
Elizabeth :-)
