I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS TRIED THE ACAI BERRY SUPPLEMENTS FOR WEIGHT LOSS? DOES IT REALLY WORK? WHAT HAVE BEEN YOUR RESULTS? I HAVE DONE A LOT OF READING ABOUT IT AND I HAVE SOME, BUT I NEED TO KNOW IF IT IS REALLY JUST A WASTE OF TIME.

Hey MJ, I was actually thinking of checking these out. Is it safe to take them while b___stfeeding? My ds is 6 months and I'm getting married in May and I have not even lost 1 lb since I left the hospital. I've stayed at the same exact weight no matter if I eat healthy or bad. I can't figure it out. I'm taking my son to his 6 month check up tomorrow, I'll ask his doc if he thinks it's ok since I'll probably be b___stfeeding until he's 1.

I asked a question about this a while ago and nobody really responded. I'm curious too! I was told by someone that it's fruit, how bad can it be, but...? Let us know what your ds's doctor says GABBY.

I don't know anything about them myself, but I did read somewhere last week that Britany Spears swears by the stuff & it apparently helped her lose her baby weight. Though, she's been a little wacky lately ... I don't know if I would trust her opinion, lol.

I asked ds's ped yesterday at his 6 month appt and he said that he's been getting that question alot lately and all he can say is that there isn't enough research to prove that it is safe. He told me to wait until I was done bfing. I plan on nursing ds until he is 1, so I still have 6 months to go and only 5 months until my wedding, so I'm kinda SOL. But I must say that my ped is very very conservative. He is very cautious about everything, so I'm not sure what a more liberal doctor may have to say about it.

I have been actually taking it for about a week now and it has done nothing. This stuff may be a crock of c___p! Maybe you have to have the actual berries, and no the supplement? I could see how a celebrity could get them- with their endless supply of money. I don't know, I guess I will give it some more time. One site said it could take two weeks to see results. We will see. I will let you ladies know.
