Hello everyone. I figured I'd post here to get the max amount of feed back. My baby girl just turned 9 months old & I found out yesterday that we are expecting again. :) I had a c-section w/ her and dr. strongly suggested waiting a yr before ttc again. yes, we should of waited, but didn't. Wondering if others have had similar experiences & any risks involved or positive experiences as well. Thanks ladies.

Congrats JNFR614. I didn't have a c-section but I am 17 weeks pregnant and my son is only 6 months old. Good luck on your pregnancy.

Congrats on your pregnancy JNFR614! Like austynmommy I never had a C-Section but I concieved with ds2 when ds1 was 7 months old. I never has any issues during my 2nd pregnancy. But every pregnancy is different. You just need to take care of yourself because your body is still recovering from your first pregnancy. Eat well, stay hydrated, put your feet up as often as you can, and get your dh to help out with your dd. I actually found my 2nd pregnancy to be much easier. And the labour was easy-peasy compared to my first. My boys are now 2.5 years old and 13 months old now.

Thanks ladies. DDT- this is actually my 3rd pregnancy_ I also have a 10yr old son. My son was born completely natural- v____al w/ no drugs, so I've been able to experience both (not by choice) I am hoping for a vbac, but don't have my hopes set too high due to concieving less than a yr after a c-sect. I've heard stories of uterine erruption & don't want to risk anything happening.

I did have a csection with my first, and got pregnant with my second when she was only 10 months. Here the hospital does NOT allow vbacs due to the risks, and honestly I am alive today because of that rule. I just gave birth to DD #2 July 15 and when they began the csection they noticed my uterus hadn't properly healed and was too thin. Thus if I had gone into labor the contractions would have ruptured my uterus and since that hospital is not fully equiped for that risk the Dr said I wouldn't have made it. Now this csetion was a nightmare, complete with a hematoma and infection where as with my first i felt better after a week. HOWEVER knowing now the risk I faced I am glad they did a csecetion. So if in doubt opt for it if they don't have the no vbac rule just incase since like you said there is no way to know for sure that you fully healed... but before I forget CONGRATS!!! And i am not trying to scare you at all just letting you know what i went through. Good luck keep us posted.

Tish- thank you so much for responding and sharing your experience with me. After reading that I do believe that another c-sect will be the safest option for both me & baby. I am 9 weeks today & baby girl just turned 10 months on the 9th of this month. This pregnancy is completely different (which I know no 2 are the same) from my other 2. I haven't really felt sick at all- just a little nausea here & there, which is great. W/ my last pregnancy I was in bed all day long from about week 7 to week 15. it was horrible! Anyway, hope you are all doing well. Ttyl.
