Hi everyone, I am just about 39 weeks and had my last OB visit yesterday. Was told that I am 2 cm dilated and 70% effaced. This is my 2nd child so she is not dropped yet and probably won't until I am in active labor. I have been having ALOT of pressure in my pelvic area and alot of inconsistant contractions, followed by baby movements. I told my OB that I wouldn't get excited and that i know it could be a couple of weeks yet. He told me he didn't think it would be two weeks. Does the pelvis pressure sound like the beginning stages of labor? I cannot remember from my first pregnancy as it has been 13 years!!!! Please Help!! I am SO anxious!

Same situation here, although I do not know if I am dialated or efaced. I am 39 weeks tomorrow, with second. Lots of pelvic pressure the last few weeks, but h/she is still hanging in there! So i guess, the answer is Its a good sign that the baby is low and causing pressure, but I dont think it can tell you exactly how long it can stay like this. I have a dr appointment today. I will ask what she thinks! Hi Kady!
