I'm wondering if anyone can give me their experience in having a 3rd degree tear and fecal incontinence at the one week post partum period. I gave birth 8 days ago and was not able to have a BM for 6 days after the delivery. It was HORRIBLE! Eventually an enema helped start things in the right direction, but I'm still "catching up" from the 6 days of nothing at this point. Stool softeners have been very helpful but I am having a REALLY difficult time "holding" my stools (like not able to really at all) and am super anxious/ concerned/ upset that this incontinence could indeed continue... Anyone with a similar experience who could tell me how you progressed after delivery? Thanks for the feedback.
