Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! Sorry you have had to deal with this also!! This is my second child and I don't think any mother should have to suffer through this or PPD. It is just nice to know there are others out there like me. Mine started two weeks ago (10 weeks PP). I definitely have spiraled in to a deep state of depression and anxiety. I am seeing two different therapists (one for PPD and one for anxiety - two different takes on it). They have me on Klonopin and Celexa. We will see if that helps. I did finally sleep last night through the night for the first time in 4 days! My insomnia was getting horrible. I would wake up at 3am and it was like someone turned on a light switch in my brain and wouldn't shut it off. Most thoughts are all related to the dizziness and feeling something is very wrong with me. Now that I have read so many posts I am starting to understand this is more common than I first realized which is helping. I stopped b___st feeding when I started the meds which was a week ago. I am pumping because my body is still producing. I'll let you know if I see any changes as that winds down. As for the dizzy feeling..I don't feel like the room is spinning..it is more like a fuzzy/tingling feeling and I get ringing in my ears. I've had all the test done and then some. Everything looks great! Crazy that this is happening to so many women, but there is nothing out there to address this condition. The only thing I have noticed is the vertigo migraine which my neurologist said nothing about. I do plan to go back to him on that when he is in next week. Keep me updated if you find any solutions or have any changes and I will do the same!

Hi everyone I'm just wondering how you're all doing now and if you found out what was wrong I am experiencing lots of lightheadedness dizziness foggy feeling and it's so frustrating Im depressed because of it I've had so many tests and everything comes back fine my baby is eight months old and since her birth I've just been feeling awful!!

MikeyMay, "Basically I am light headed/dizzy pretty much 24/7. I don't have vertigo I just feel really foggy and light headed. I usually feel ok when I first wake up in the morning but as the day goes on I feel worse and worse. By the time I go to bed I feel drunk and spaced out. I also feel better when I move around sometimes but I sometimes feel like I just stepped off a treadmill. I also feel slight ringing in my ears, mild headaches, I get head pressure (like sinus) and get a tingling feeling in my scalp and tongue sometimes." THAT IS EXACTLY HOW I FEEL! Oh my gosh!! I couldn't have said it better myself. Help! Did it go away ever? Any advice?

Hi Bianca sorry you are feeling so terrible. I am a lot better now and you will get there too. Iwent to a neurologist who believed my issues were being caused by my neck. Evidently I didn't have full range of motion. Well I started physicaly therapy (myofascial release and craniosacral) and i got tons better. It took about 3 months. Here's the thing though i also got pregnant with baby number two and wondered if it was hormonal. After baby number two was born it came back one week later. I started pt again for a few weeks and it went away. My girl is 5 months old now and I have to say I am back to normal 95% of the time. If I don't sleep well or carry the baby a lot I feel it again. Hope you feel better soon.

MikeyMay, Thanks so much for your response. I am glad to hear you are feeling better 95% of the time. I have a lot of different things going on so I am sure it's related to one of them. I, too, need physical therapy for my neck. I haven't been yet but hopefully it helps. I also have postpartum depression and anxiety, I am in therapy but refuse medication. I am going to start yoga and take an Omega-3 supplement (I hear flax seed oil and omega can help depression) It's hard because I just want to feel myself again and take care of my daughter, but the lightheaded feeling always gets the best of me. I notice when I drink more water it helps as well. It's great to hear that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and that I'm not alone!

Bianca I was right there with you! I didn't realize how depressed I was until I wasn't anymore. I didn't take anti depressants either. I also struggle with anxiety. A few ladies on another forum got together and started a private fb page to stay in touch and support each other. I tried to leave you a way to contact me but I think it was taken down from this board so I will try again in a way that doesn't look like an email address... You can email me at 789c___p at gmail and you know the rest.

MikeyMay, thanks so much. So glad I got to connect with you. I could use the support. It's such a struggle everyday and I can't wait to get back to myself again!

Hi sara sorry you are feeling like this! When did all of this start for you? I am feeling a lot better. What worked for me was physical therapy for my neck and back. Also time helped.

Oh my gosh!! I am so glad I found this post! I have been feeling like this for 7 weeks now! My daughter is 6 months old and I am nursing too. I felt so scared and alone until I read this.

I too have been to ENT, neurologists, had MRI's, blood work drawn, etc etc etc. I have been so anxious and constantly feel like I have some horrible disease or cancer.... Or MS. I ran into a PT who said that this could be my neck.... But all of the doctors I have seen don't believe this. They believe it is stress. However, I am doing physical therapy and cranio sacral therapy all in the attempt to feel better. I take Lexapro and recently increased my dose in case this is anxiety/stress related. I can say I feel so much better mentally knowing that I am not alone.

Hey I'm just wondering if anyone got an answer to the dizzy, lightheaded feeling! Im 6 months post partum and had this for around 4 months now with no answers from doctors so I'm kind of at my wits end and finding it really difficult to keep a brave face on, I'm still ex bf if this is anything to go on :)

MikeyMay - August 15

Hi Sophiejoe sorry you are feeling so terrible right now. I know its hard to believe right now but you will get better. For me it was post partum depression and anxiety. My symptoms didn't fit the typical bill but I realized once I had baby number 2 how bad it was the first time around. My physical symptoms started 3 months post partum and I was immediately diagnosed with PPD but I didn't believe it and kept searching for answers. I had so many different tests done and saw every specialist you can imagine. I was just horrible. Stopping b___stfeeding didn't help me. My son stopped nursing at 14 months and nothing changed until I was about 5 or 6 months pregnant with baby #2 (conceived at 16 months post partum). Once I was pregnant again I slowly started to feel "normal." When baby number 2 was born I realized that I did have PPD the first time because of how different I felt the second time around. I started to feel dizzy and lightheaded for a bit after baby number 2 was born but I made sure to get some help and some sleep. Sleep is huge!!!! Just to be on the safe side go to the doctors and run a blood panel as underactive thyroid can often have these symptoms and is common after childbirth. Also have iron checked. Hope you feel better soon. I am out here if you need me!

Thank you for getting back, did you get anti depressants or did it calm down on it's own? Only reason I ask is I really don't want to take that road with anti depressants especially if there's anything I can do myself to make me feel more normal? :)
