Just wondering about doing weights when your pregnant. Is it ok? Is there any point in doing ab excercies? And i just came in from racking some of the yard. Is that ok? I quit, cause i got nervous. Thanks

Alwas check with your doctor first, but if you have a normal, healthy pregnancy you can continue to weight train throughout your 9 months. There are a few things to be aware of and several modifications as the trimesters go by. And appropriate ab exercises are actually great for pregnancy, delivery, and getting back into shape after your baby is born. One good way of working your abs is to sit up straight in a chair and pulling in your abs between your hip bones. Try holding them in for 30 to 60 seconds and doing this 3 to 4 times a day. Be sure to breath regularly as you are doing this. As everything else in pregnancy, just be careful and don't overdo it.
