I'm going to call my doctor as soon as possible, but what about those conception date calculators on the internet? And what about me and my friend having such close due dates. Since she knows when she conceived the day I conceived should be very close to hers right ?

If you had an irregular cycle, the conception day calendars would be off. Yes, if your dues dates are the same, your conception dates would be the same. However, "full term" can vary several weeks, so you may not actually deliver at the same time.

Everyime I use one of those conception date calculators on the internet it always gives me from the 9th of October to the 15th. Some are based on my due date and others on based on my last menstral period, I put in the 23 for the LMP one and it still gave me a conception date in october and a due date in july.

I asked my doctor was it gestational or conventional and she said she didnt know what I was talking about when I said conventional. Could sperm from the 25 have lasted up to October 2? Or could I have gotten pregnant before the 25?

I asked my doctor was it gestational or conventional and she said she didnt know what I was talking about when I said conventional. Could sperm from the 25 have lasted up to October 2? Or could I have gotten pregnant before the 25? She did tell me that if i conceived October 15 then i would have to be fewer weeks than I am now.

Put Oct 1st 2010 into the "First day of last period" field in a due date calculator, and it gives July 8th as the answer. On a regular 28 day cycle you would have ovulated Oct 15th. S_x that day or the five days previous are likely candidates for the act that got you pregnant. Next time you visit the doctor, ask her to double check that last statement of hers. It is not correct.

So sperm from the 25th would not have lasted up to October 2nd.

At my appointment yesterday they told me I was 21 weeks and 5 days, and that I most likley conceived on the 15th of October. but if i count back from the 15 to the 1st of march it doesnt add up as being 21 weeks.
please help.

If you count back 21 weeks 5 days from March 1st you get to September 30th. That would have been the first day of your last good period, if you had a regular 28 day cycle. That calculation goes hand-in-hand with ovulation Oct 15th, 14 days after the first day of the period, which is when s_x would most likely have got you pregnant.

Is it true that they actually add two weeks to what you really are? For instance instead of being 22 weeks ill be 20. Ive asked around and they told me that by my first ultrasound which i was 9 weeks at i should count back 7 weeks and that would give me an estimate of when i conceived. Is this true?
So can i go ahead and rule the september guy out?

Yes. It is true that pregnancies are dated from the first day of the last good period, even though the ovulation responsible for the pregnancy happened two weeks later.

So do you think i can rule the September guy out?

Even though i didnt (well at least i dont remember getting one) get a period between the two guys i can rule the september one out? I have another question when you get an ultrasound does it automatically add those extra two weeks up there? Being my first ultrasound was at 9 weeks on December 3, if i count back 7 weeks (minus the 2 extra weeks) i get October 9 as my conception date. Am i right, do i have the right concept of it?

Kind of, except you are not counting right. Seven weeks before Dec 3 is Oct 15. They automatically add those two weeks.

ok, thanks so much ! I was very confused because i dont remember getting a period between those dates. But since you say the two weeks thing is true then i shouldnt have anything to worry about right?
