Hi Everyone, So last night me and my husband found ourselves in a little bit of a pickle, here is our story..... Right after we got married sep/2011 we started TTC right away. About 8 months after we finallt got pregnant from what felt like forever! 6 weeks later we got the news that it was most likley a blighted ovum as there was no heartbeat or fetapol which resulted in a D&C. about 5 months later we found out we were pregnant again. I was so scared that this pregnancy would result in the same way as my first, but at 6 weeks when i got to see my baby and teh heartbeat i thought forsure i was good to go. Unfortunatly for us shortly after the baby died which resulted in a second D&C on NOvemeber 22,2012. It is now DECEMEBER 31,2012 one one month and 9 days from my D&C and i had a feeling to take a preggnancy test because i still had not gotten my period. somehting just told me to get a test. well i took it last night at sure enough it was POSITIVE. so my question to all you supportive people here is how likley is it that this is a new pregnancy?? i will be seeing my doctor on thursday and will be taking a digital test today (the ones taht show you how far along you are). I am quiet aware that this may still be some left over HCG levels but im hoping for the best. i am also a little nervous that i did not get my period after my and D&C and i am hoping that if in fact this is a pregnancy that my uterus is up for a third challenge. any thoughts or advice or similar stories would be greatly appreciated. It is now DECEMEBER 31,2012 a month and 9 days after my D&C and last night i had a positive pregnancy test I have no idea if this is in fact a new pregnancy or still left over HCG from my second miscarriage. i am also aware that my uterus lineing may not have recovered from the D&C yet as i didnt even get a period yet. any thoughts, advice, or similar stories would be greatly appreciated. Me 23 husband 26 2 angel babies 1 baby possibly on the way i have had all emotions covered in 2012 after going throught two pregnancies two miscariages and now a possible new baby or not

I'm so happy I found this forum. I've been going through hard times. I had a D & C Dec. 27th. I was supposed to be 12 weeks, but baby's heart stopped beating at about 9 weeks. I had no bleeding, no cramping, nothing to suggest a MC. This is my 2nd MC. I had a perfect pregnancy with my 4 yr old in 08', got pregnant in Aug. 10', MC with a blighted ovum, fell pregnant again at the end of Sept. 10'(before having AF) and had a great pregnancy with my 1 yr old. This pregnancy was an oops, and now I'm feeling a complete loss. I really want to be pregnant again. The dr. told me to wait one full cycle to ttc, but I'm not sure if I want to just go for it when I feel up to it, since I MC'd and got pregnant right away with my 2nd pregnancy. Has anyone else had MC's in between healthy pregnancies? I'm not sure how common this is. My Dr. doesn't want to do testing on me because he says nothing is wrong with me, I'm fertile and can have healthy babies, my MC's were just nature taking care of itself. I'm so confused. Has anyone else ttc and fell pregnant right away after D&C? Also, my hubby doesn't want us to try again. I think this is so unfair. I told him before we got married that I wanted 3 kids. I agreed to 2 because I didn't want us to fight about it, but after having this 3rd unplanned pregnancy, now I really want baby #3. He was very happy, but surprised, when I told him I was pregnant again, so I'm hoping he'll change his mind.

Hi!! It's kinda hard to say if this is a new pregnancy or not... When you had your last mc (sorry to hear this) were your numbers still pretty high? Because there is a chance your body still had enough hcg to register on a test... Or it may be possible to have ovulated shortly after if your numbers were pretty low to begin with... As is what happened to me.. But I got a period about 4 weeks after my D&C, and then was pregnant right after that cycle. So now due in sept! Maybe you should call and see if they could run a blood test to check your numbers or at least see what they think. If the numbers go up after a few days... With another test, then great!!! :) good luck!! Keep us posted!

i hope some one can help me.. i had a d&c on the 9/4/2013. im fine physically and mentally. i m/c at 6 weeks . i have had no period since . but we are trying to get pregnant as im 42 next month. is it possible to get pregnant so soon. im new to this forum . so any help would be great ... thanks

so sorry to hear bout your miscarriage, yes it is possible definately...i didnt get pregnant straight away but i was lucky enough to get pregnant 4 months after mc ( tho at the time 4months seemed forever) but now i have a very healthy wee boy so hang in there it will happen

Hi guys. I haven't been here in some time. I had my d/c in March of 2012 at 10 weeks. This site helped me get through that hard period. Well 6 months later we got pregnant again. I didn't find out till I was 5 weeks. We were so scared so we decided not to tell anyone till our first ultrasound. We saw our baby at 13 weeks and I felt like I could finally breath. Everything was great this time. But the next few weeks where still stressful. But I'm now 34 weeks and having another baby boy and everything looks good. My son is super excited for his little brother. I'm scheduled for a c-section on June 11th. So yes it is possible to have a healthy pregnancy after such a loss. I had 2 mc before this pregnancy. The first was a natural mc and the second a dc at 10 weeks. This site really helped and gave me hope and now we are having our baby. I still think about my other babies and miss them. Can't wait to meet this little guy that's on his way. Hope this helps.

thanks for replying ... i really dont want to tempt fate and do a home test in case its negative . i really would be so sad if it was ... my normal cycle was 28 days but still nothing ! i was bleeding for about 2 weeks before i had the d&c so what do every 1 think my chances are of being pregnant are the min. i didnt bleed the day after my d&c so iv had unprotected s_x since ....fingers crossed !

Hi Anges, I'm so sorry about your loss. It it so devastating. It is normal not to have bleeding after a dc for up to 6 weeks. Your body is going to try to regulate and try to release all of those pregnancy hormones. I didn't bleed until 7 weeks after my dc after my mc. It is still possible you for you to get pregnant! I hope you can get pregnant right away. But if you don't, stay positive and know that it will happen in time and you will have a great support system here. Ilegniah

Hi Everyone. I had my d&c on 15th Apriland had my fst period on 7th may. On 23rd may we had unprotected s_x nd frm den m spotting and having sore nipples. Please if any of u could help me out of this as m really tensed for this.

Hi Himanshi! Im so sorry to hear about the D&C. Have you had your hormone count checked? Its very possible that what you are experiencing is from all those extra hormones leaving your body. It happened to me after my D&C. Also, you should consider that your body is trying to regulate itself, so a little spotting and irregular periods are normal. If you're still nervous, see your doctor. I'm new here and have a question...I had a natural MC this past October at 8 weeks and on May 22 I had a d&e because of a MC at 6 weeks but my baby had stopped growing at about 4.5 weeks. After my first MC I bled for about a month and a half, that's why I opted for the procedure this time so I could at least heal faster physically. After the d&e I only lightly bled for about 2 days and my husband and I have been intimate the many times since the procedure and we haven't been using any precautions. I haven't had my period yet and I didn't think I could get pregnant this soon, but after reading different things I'm thinking I can. My question is.....could I really be pregnant this quickly and if I am has anyone had a successful pregnancy in a similar situation? We have 2 healthy children, 9 and 2, and we had our heart set on one more and would love to be pregnant, but I'm nervous that it's too soon. Any advice or experiences would be so greatly appreciated.

I was wandering if anybody had ovulation symptom changes after having a D&C or natural miscarriage? I had D&C on January 7, 2013 and have not had any of my old symptoms like sore b___bs, up until this month, so I was just wandering if it was common to either have symptoms change or to not ovulate for almost 6 months after getting a D&C?
