yes it is possible. I had 3 neg tests, including one digital negative. So I waited about 2 weeks befour I tested anymore and sure enough at about 5 weeks preggo I tested positive. So just sit tight and forget about it for awhile do another one in a couple of weeks.

Jackie - Thanks for the info! : - ) Congrats to you and have a H&H 9 months. I have 2 First Response test at home and am so tempted to retest. Do you recommend another HPT that detects a low amount of HCG? Thanks!

danielle where are you from, the first response ones suck i used them and got negative results because of lack of choice in my chemists, i still dont know if im pregnant but can swear i can feel movements. Try one called Rea__sure, its a small dip test stick but messures less amounts and pretty good.

I am ten days late and I can't get a positive hpt either. But I have gotten plenty of positive OPKs I heard from some people that is a good sign. Good Luck!!!

Usually smaller chemists, if your in the uk that is, i dont know if you can get them in the states and they are pretty cheap but better than most dearer ones.

Update: Still no period 8 days late. Last night took a Frist Response HPT and got a negative. Can anyone suggest a different HPT brand I should use? I am going to wait to test again until next Wed. (6/2/05) with hopefully a new HPT brand. Mary - What is a HCG? What brand is it? Where did you buy it from? I am in the same boat as you are. I think we are both testing to early. See I am NEVER late with my period. My cycles are usually 26 - 30 days. It's been 38 days today.

I am 11 days late and I got a either a evap line or a very faint positive on a dollar tree store. I know my urine was deluted so that could have been why but I have never seen an evap line on them before. If you want to know some other cheap pregnancy tests that might be good you can check out http://early-pregnancy-tests.com or http://www.babyhopes.com I think they test between 20mIUs and 25mIUs otherwise the dollar tree tests are 25mIUs.

Mary - I have heard that sometimes even the blood test they do at the doctor can come back negative when you in fact are preggo. I had a dream last night that I took a HPT and it was positive.

I feel so good knowing that I'm not the only one going throug this. My period comes every 28 day, and Im only 5 days late. I'm never late. But every time I test it comes out neg. Its driving me crazy. When is the best time to take a test?

Naomi - Usually you get a good positive 14DPO (Days Past Ovulation). Most HPT's say to test with first morning urine. If you dont use first morning urine you are suppose to hold your urine for at least 3 hours and try not to dilute it with drinking alot of liquids. I hope this helps. Good luck! : - )

well thank you so much for knowning i am not alone.i have been off the pill for 6 months and my husband and i are trying for a baby. i have usually had a 30 or so day cycle and i am now 7 days late, but took a test at 5 days late and came up negative. some cramping like iam going to start, but nothing, now what?
