no matter how faint it is a positive preg test means positive there should be no doubt in your mind it cant be wrong, if it shows negative it can still be wrong but once it shows positive it cant be wrong congrats

This is what is happening to me too.. faint positive on Saturday, 5 days late, took one last night and even fainter.. both first morning..but as with my other posts .. my last child I had neg's for weeks.. so small hope for me that becuse of the faint pos it will work out

I started having pregnancy symptoms before my period was due. Then I had my period but it was 5 days late and lighter and shorter than usual. I took 2 pregnancy tests after my period and both were extremely faint positive. I am still having pregnancy symptom 3 weeks later. What do you think???

I took 4 tests 2 came out faintly positive and 2 early result came out neg. I'm late and have all the signs..what gives?

I dont know what gives.. the only thing I can think of is that I didnt drink a lot that day and did the test with first morning urine.. got the faint pos, did another couple days later with faint pos.. but then since then has been neg..and the only thing I can think of is that the first day urine was stronger cause I didnt drink much that day.. and I was the other days drinking lots of fluids.. but like I have also said my last child didnt show pos for weeks ... keeping fingers crossed =)

I am not sure what to make of the faint positives. I took one 4 1/2 to 5 months ago (ept and first response) on all of them I got a faint positive. I went to my doc. and took one of their pregnancy test and it came out negative. To make sure, he did a blood test and it came back negative. Though he did mention that it could be to early to tell and watned to do another blood test a couple days later. Unfortanly I was unemployed and it was too expensive to get another one done. Since then, I have had all the signs and have felt some what seems like flutters or bubbles but I have had periods since then. I haven't really shown as I would be 5 months or getting their by now but I doubt I am. I have had s_x since then. It's really hard to say or make of the faint positive lines, I would call the number on the box and ask.

TAKE A FACT PLUS! THEY DETECT EARLY AND GIVE YOU VERY DARK LINES IF YOU ARE INDEED PREGNANT! I DID THIS THREE DAYS BEFORE MY PERIOD AFTER I HAD USED FIRST RESPONSE AND THOUGHT I WAS NOT PREGNANT!

THE LINES SHOWED UP AS PLAIN AS DAY UNLIKE THE FIRST RESPONSE WHO MADE ME THINK I WAS NOT PREGNANT! I WENT TO THE DOCTOR WHO COMFIRM THAT I WAS PREGNANT!!!!!

Well, I am going through the same thing right now, I had a very faint positive, I called the doctor, they siad all though it was nearly unreadable, it was still positive because there was some hint of a positive line. Cograts....

I've been off my birth control pills for a year and have been trying for a long time to concive, well, some of the months I thought I was pregnant so I took a test before I was supposed to start, And some of the tests I took came up as a very faint pos. well, a few days later I took a nother test and it was completly neg...Well, last week on the 23rd I was supposed to start my cycle and I didnt. this evening I took a one step pregnancy test and it had a really lite thin, pink line is that still a possitive?please let me know you commets

OMG...I am in the EXACT same boat...even used the same brand of test! I bought a 3 pack of Answer tests. I am 2 weeks late. Test 1 was negative, test 2 was taken in the evening, and had definite, but EXTREMELY faint test line....so i followed the same line of thinking as you...test in the morning.....so I did, and my morning result with the 3rd test was d__n near negative again. What the heck is going on???? I go see my doc tomorrow morning. Best of luck to you!!!

I had all that happen to me back in Dec. Took a hpt 3 days before my missed period. It was a FAINT positive result. Took another the next morning and it was neg. Went to the Dr. that same day and they told me I wasn't preg. Next day, I still "felt" preg. So, i took another hpt. Faint pos. again. Went back to Dr. and they gave me the BT. Which was positive. The thing is that the pregnancy hormone is supposed to dbl. every 2-3days in a normal pregnancy. So if your hpt's are faint at first, chances are they will become more clear as time pa__ses....If the pregnancy is normal. Unfortunately, my outcome was not good. I went on to miscarry about a 1 1/2 weeks later. I kind of knew something was wrong because all the screwy test results. I called the 800 # on the test and they said you should not need to pick your test up off the counter to read the result....ie holding it close to your face or perhaps up to a window or something may be mis-leading. Ya, Im really confuesed to Im having the same problem, I have normal periods been off pills for 1 year. Im wanting a baby really bad. I was supposed to start the 23rd in march but no period I still have no period as of today, well yesterday I took a prego test in afternoon, when i peed on it I sat and watched well there was a line that you could see but it was like clear, with no die on it only there was dye around it. well, when I cheacked 2 minutes later there was die on the line in the result window only it was a thin strip with pink coloring, barley noticable tho u could see it at reading level. well, today I took another one step pregnancy test strip (the one in the purpule box) and it was like almost completly neg. It still had a line with one minute but it was thin and had no coloring. Whats this mean?
