My clearblue test had a very faint neg sign too, which one did you use?

Ladies, there's no such thing as a faint negative line...if there's a line there with color and its seeable without taking the test apart, its considered a positive!! For more information on this, check out www.peeonastick.com. In the Home Pregnancy Test section, she lists pictures of other people's tests so you can look at them and see if your test look anything like those. But to be safe, please test again soon!! I have this question too. I took the Walmart "Equate" brand one, and how it works is you get a - for not pregnant or a + for pregnant, both in the same window (the + is made of the line from the -). I got a very faint -. So, I'm wondering if that means that I'm not pregnant since it is a - line, or if the faintness of it might be indicating something more. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm such an idiot, I threw the packaging out and I can't find Equate's phone number to call and ask them!

The same thing happened to me. (Publix brand - 2 test pack) the first test - negative was so faint that I almost thought if it was positive you would never know it. Later that day I took another test and it was clearly negative. So I think I just got a bad test. Good luck though.

I don't mean to sound mean but there is such a thing as a "faint negative line". Not all test are the same. Some tests results are a + for positive and a - for not pregnant. some test are made not to show a line if your not pregnant. The author of this post took a test that is a +/- test. I myself just had an issue with this. Im going to be retesting this friday!!

I took an Equate test and when I took it and waited the 3 minutes it showed up a negative very faintly. I been trying to research it on the internet but everyone says that it is a faulty test that I should try again. I do have female problems so being late is normal but I haven't been late with my fiance since I have been with him and started having s_x. I am worried cause I am a smoker and if I am pregnant I want to quit so that way I don't harm the baby. Should I just retest again in a week or should I just count that as a negative?

Pooky, I would say go ahead and quit smoking now either way!! I'm not sure what people mean by a faint negative. Do you mean that the one control line that means negative was faint or is there a second line there that is faint. If it's a faint second line that's a faint positive. If it's one faint line that means either the test was faulty or the test doesn't have much dye in it. Also when testing make sure you don't dip the test in too deep or too long in your urine that will dilute the dye...
