Thank you worthygirl, but I'm already pregnant, I wasn't trying to concieve, I was actually trying to aviod it, but somehow, I'm 9 weeks pregnant with twins. I plan on releasing the news to family, other than my husband, who already knows, once I get to the 4 month mark. I am having such bad morning sickness lately. It's good that the kids are in school that way my 13 year old won't get suspicious. I have only told my husband so far. When is the earliest time you can get an amnio? I am crushed with the odds but there is still that glimmering hope that everyone will come out of this as a healthy person. Thank You for the support, orangelady

Hi Everyone! Well it has been awhile since I posted on here, but I wanted to let everyone know that all is still well. I am 5 months along now and things are going well. Peyton weighs 1 lb and 14 oz now.... I have done some testing to see if he is healthy and so far everything has turned out okay. I finally got over all the morning sickness, but I am still not hungry. I have lost a total of 35 lbs but the doctor said not to worry as long as I was eating healthy. Of course, I have plenty of extra storage! LOL I am still trying to get everything ready for him to arrive, but haven't gotten up enough energy to get it all done yet...hopefully soon I will get a burst of energy! I will try to keep you updated on my progress, but so far so good! I wish everyone the best and I hope you have a great day!

Great news mspig! We are all very happy for you! Good luck with Peyton! Hello ladies, I'm sorry I haven't posted here in a while. But I have some good news. My morning sickness is dwindling down and everything is a lot calmer in my house. I made it to 11 weeks! Yes! After much debating, my husband and I have decided to find out the gender of the twins before they were born. We have a 3 bedroom and with two boys sharing a room already, we're scrunched. We figured finding out the s_xes would be a lot less stressful on our family so that we could plan bedrooms and what not. Is it bad to want one gender over the other? I'll be happy with any combination but I'm secretly hoping for one of them to be a girl. After 13 years with a boy in the house, I've seen it all! LOL! I'll update this again once I find out the gender at my 14 week. I'm starting to get excited about this! ~orangelady

Hi ladies! It is so rea__suring to read these threads of women having babies after 40! I have been married 15 beautiful years! We have 3 step-daughters (18-20yrs)from a pevious marriage and relationship and 1 biological daughter (21yr)of my own from a high school relationship. My husband and I are 43 and 39 respectively. I never wanted kids because I didn't want to struggle. We had our hands full over the past 18 years. Now our children are grown and in college my husband and I have been considering having another child. EVERYONE thinks we are insane!! We have established our careers and travel all around the world! We now live a comfortable life and are madly in love with each other. I'm just afraid losing everything we have worked to establish by starting over! Pls help.. you ladies have grown children how is your life now that you have started over??

orangelady, wondering what the outcome was for you. I've just recently miscarried again at 42 (conceived naturally) and am very much feeling the "dwindling chances" but this thread gives me hope. Thanks, everyone.
