Hello Connie, I know how you feel... I do worry sometimes BUT I keep trying to remind myself to 'relax', 'focus on positive', pray, and just take good care of myself...AND of course this site helps a lot to reinforce positive thoughts!! : ) I had two Drs. try and convince me to go for the quad screen, but since this was only based on my maternal age at conception (39), I chose not to do the screens. But I did have a 12wk and 20 wk ultrasound instead. (If there would have been reason for concern after the ultrasounds, I may have thought alittle more about it.) I told my Dr. that after doing some reading on my own, I felt there were way to many "false" positive results returned from those blood screens and I, too, did not want to go through all the invasive procedures (some risky) not too mention all the worry it would cause. So, for me, ultrasounds were as far as I chose to go. The rest I try to remind myself, is in God's hands. By the way, I turned 40 in March and am now about 26wks with my 5th child (first for my second husband and I)

I ha.ve two healthy babies since I turned 39. Want to have more. The brownish stuff you see is probably just implantation bleeding and doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong

I am 37 years old and my husband is 40 and we have been trying to conceive for 6 months now. I took two rounds of Clomid 50mg but nothing yet. How long should we expect to wait before we get pregnant at our age? Michelle

I am well into my forties and into my second pregnancy. It's different for every woman. Your chances for downs and other diseases are greater the older you get but the odds are you will still have a healthy baby (Nature tends to abort unhealthy babies).

Hi Connie, I had my first baby at 37, my second at 39 & my 3rd at 40. All babies were healthy; however, down syndrome & other birth defects are concerns. Just talk to your doctor, and try to stay calm. Hope everything works out for you.

Hi everyone I'm new here. I'm 38 and will be 39 April.

Had alot of miscarriages, ectopic pregnancy which lead to one falopian tube been taken out and also got fibroid which has been taken out and it's growing back again.

So my test result is positive and i know I'm 6 weeks pregnant  but been spotting for about 3 weeks now off and on only when i wipe and its always brown but today was kind of brownish red is that normal?

Went to see my gp and will likely have an appointment in 2 or 4 weeks even though they got my history. Never has kids

Please i need your advise
