is using a birth control in the past decreases the chance of getting pregnant later? Also I have been reading that chances of getting pregnant at 46 using with own eggs via IVF is very slim and some people including doctors even discourage it, any thoughts? Also any over the counter drugs to boost fertility at 46? Thanks

Hi Fifina, I know this is a tad late, but I gave birth to twins while I was on the pill at 46. I honestly was never as diligent in taking it as I should have been but regardless, if it's possible to conceive naturally on the pill in mid forties, I believe it should be possible to fall pregnant via IVF. Please don't give up. My girls were a surprise, and ever since then I've learned to value them even more each and every day when I see people who are dying to have a baby.

I heard that red clover tea and ra__sberry tea will help you get pregnant cause it gives you estrogen and helps your hormones.

Supposedly coming off the pill actually increases your chances of getting pregnant. I think that most clinics will help you use your own eggs, but you might want to include testing for genetic disorders than are more likely to arise when the parents are older.
