No I really don't think so.. once you are pregneat you wouldn't ovulate anymore.. I have heard of a woman being pregneat with twins from 2 different fathers becasue she had s_x with them both with in thetime she was ovulating.. but never heard of someone alreadybeing pregneat and tehn getting pregneat again.. Why do you ask?

MyFirst - June 21

Once you are pregnant your're pregnant. No more eggs will drop in to get fertilized.

if your ovaries release more than one egg... and one egg gets fertalised... the other hasnt... then untill that egg goes... yes u can get pregnant again. on another forum i think it might be teen pregnancy... the have had a discussion about this.

No techincally you can't. The only way is if you release two egg that month. Generally that is how fraternal twins happen. They are twins but not from the same egg which produces identical twins. When a woman has fraternal twins she usually ovulates 2 eggs within a 24 hours period.

YES!!!! YES!!!! YES!!! You can get pregnant while being pregnant....Although It is a 1 in a million chance of this happening....It is possible.....I know because I am the 1, in the 1 of a million. I was born in 1958, my mom was 2 months pregnant with my brother when she got pregnant with me, her doctor did not know that she was carrying 2 babies, they did not detect a second heartbeat because my brother was always laying over me.....Remember they did not have ultra sound back in those days.....My mom kept asking her doctor why she was getting so big, She was due in September, when Sept came and went They did a xray on her and told her she was having twins.......My brother was born 1st he weighed 8 lbs.....When I was born I weighted 4 lbs and was not fully developed........I had to stay in a incubator until I fully developed and weighted 5 lbs......which took about a month or so..... SO AFTER HEARING MY STORY, YOU NOW KNOW THAT IT IS POSSIBLE.... WHEN YOU THINK OF HOW COMPLEX THE HUMAN BODY IS ANY THING IS POSSIBLE......

Goose8810 if you are preg congrats, enjoy your pregnancy & don't worry about getting preg while preg because it will NOT happen. IamOne NO YOU CANT. What you described sounds like what happened to a friend of mine and what is not uncommon with pregnancies involving multiples. Sometimes during a multiple preg one of the babies becomes much stronger than the other and the stronger baby's placenta takes over & deprives the other/s from most of the nutrients which slows the development of the weaker baby dramatically. This happened to friend of mine (she knew she was having twins from the get go) except that the stronger twin deprived the weaker one so much that he was VERY small & didn't survive. When you are pregnant your hormones change to protect the growing baby & prevents further ovulation. Also even if you somehow miraculously ovulated the sperm could not get through as your cervix closes up to prevent any infection.

oh yes you can ....mys sister is pregnat by 2 different men.....the first man got her preggo and then the second man got her preggoer 3 months later.......the babies was born and one was full term and the other was a premmie.....well these 2 guys got to fussing over woh was baby daddy so they all went to court and found out "BIlly" was the normal kids dad and the other guy wasnt the other baby daddy and neither was "Billy" then it cam out that "Shelly" has slept with someone else and she admitted at a family reunion that she was sleeping with our uncle......sure enough it is his baby.......he is such a happy dad......his wife couldnt have him any so he found a real woman........so the twins are half brothers.......weird aint it........frat twins with different dads......DNA never lie

Ok ladies I must appologise, I was wrong. I got a friend who is studying medical science to ask her professor about the subject and it turns out that even though it is EXTREMELY rare it is possible. The condition is called SUPERFETATION & It occurs when a women ovulates more than one egg, but the eggs are released at different times, sometimes up to 24 days apart. It is ONLY possible in women who have 2 wombs or continue their menstrual cycle while pregnant (hormonal abnormalities). Those that continue their menstrual cycle don't have the hormone signals to create the mucus plug as normal, so sperm can still manage to get through. As I said above the condition is EXTREMELY rare so unless your hormones are abnormal for pregnancy, you are still getting your period or you have 2 wombs, don't stress about something that is not likely to happen.

DITTO. I'm an ultrasound tech and I have seen this happen before.

lol gotsnipped, what a b___h you are. "his wife couldn't have him any [kids] so he found a real woman". since when does the inability to have children make you not a real woman?

Ask Dr. Greenfield Getting Pregnant While Already Pregnant QUESTION Dear Dr. Greenfield, How rare is it for one to get pregnant a second time once they are already 31days gestational with the first baby? — Curious Mom-to-Be in WI ANSWER February 28, 2002 Dear Curious Mom-to-Be, It is totally impossible to become pregnant once you are already pregnant. The hormonal changes that start as soon as conception occurs prevent new eggs from maturing and being released. There are very rare cases of twins conceived from different fathers, but these acts of intercourse were within a few days of each other, fertilizing two different eggs that were released at the same time. I hope that this answers your question. — by Marjorie Greenfield, M.D.

missynrylie obviously you cut & paste something from a post made over 6yrs ago, but before trying to prove that you can't get pregnant while pregnant please look up the condition that I already mentioned above. Some doctors are really bad for ONLY going by the textbook & very rarely believe in anything that was not already in writing when they did their medical degree (I should know as I have friends in the medical field). The condition is called SUPERFETATION as I have already stated & It occurs when a women ovulates more than one egg, but the eggs are released at different times, sometimes up to 24 days apart. It is ONLY possible in women who have 2 wombs or continue their menstrual cycle while pregnant (hormonal abnormalities). Those that continue their menstrual cycle don't have the hormone signals to create the mucus plug as normal, so sperm can still manage to get through. & as the pregnancy hormones are not generated right away they can continue to ovulate, but usually only for 1 more cycle. It is EXTREMELY RARE but it has happened.

E586467 i know you think you are an expert because your friends think they are, but i asked my Dr.(who i think actualy IS an expert) and he said the same as missynrylie, as did my sister who is a nurse.
