I was just wondering for anyone who had success with robitussin and concieving which kind of robitussin did you use? I know it has to have a certain ingredient- but i went and looked and there was like robitussin for all sorts of cold symptoms and everything. Can anyone help narrow down my search and so i can be sure i'm gonna use the correct kind! Thank you so much!

I couldn't get the pineland one to work...what does robitussin supposed to do? My friend has been TTC for a couple of years, and is on clomid now. Does it help with ovulation? Thanks. :)

We used Mucinex. The guaifenesin in it helps to make more cervical mucous and makes it sperm friendly. We also used 81 mg asprin, and now we're 18 weeks pregnant! Best of luck.

kim00- i have a question about the aspirin. is that used to make you more fertile? because i just had a miscarriage with d&c february 12 and had my first AF exactly 28 days after that...i know of some women who use aspirin for clotting disorders that cause miscarriage but i haven't heard of how it's used for fertility?

I used it to help thicken the uterine lining. Always consult your dr before taking anything. Best of luck.

interesting, i was mostly just curious i guess. i haven't tried to take or use anything at all yet. i didn't have problem getting pregnant last time...just with keeping it. thanks for the info!

Hi Rainbowbrite. The ingredient in Robitussen to look for is "expectorant" not "antihistamine". What it does is make your mucous membranes including cervical mucous more watery and therefore more sperm friendly.

this is 8.5 weeks after my d&c and dh and I were planning to try again right after the procedure. my first cycle started 4 weeks after the procedure, and unfortunately(or fortunately) during my second cycle just 5 days before ovulation, I fell really ill with a terrible sore throat. I bought some robitussin to relieve my sore throat before I went to a doc. so for the next few days before and through my ovulation, i was alternating between robitussin and medicated lozenges prescribed by the docs. dh and I proceeded to bd 4 and 2 days before ovulation with preseed. just last thur, on the day of my period, I tested and came back with a strong positive. it was a pleasant surprise and I am praying very very hard that it's a real pregnancy (very surreal) and everything goes well. seeing the gynae for the first time next thur at 6 weeks and am extremely nervous. praying hard for a healthy heartbeat which I never got to see the first time.

on hindsight, I think robitussin truly helps thin the cm. I usually have thick cm on day of ovulation and after. but since I was still on cough syrup and robitussin, I observed thin watery cm those 2 days!
