Hi! I am 22 and unexpectedly pregnant. My now fiance and I just got engaged about a month ago now. At the time, we didn't know we were pregnant. We've been together since our freshman year of college and just graduated in May of this year. We moved to a whole new state about 14 hours away from our family a few days later to begin our careers. I am a theatre major and he is involved in parks and recreation. We have some money and jobs here with a few very supportive friends but I am not sure how ready I am to become a parent. My fiance really wants to keep the baby and tell his parents but I am afraid to tell mine. I've always wanted to plan a family around 24, 25 but with this unplanned pregnancy,  I'm afraid I won't be able to truly do what I want because a baby is a lot of responsibility. We are very responsible for our age and are completely committed to each other so that is the least of worries. We are going home for visit and I am going to feel out if I should tell my parents or not. They are much older so I feel like they would be shocked but supportive eventually as they are always talking about how they can't wait to see their grandchildren but of course, they want us to establish ourselves first. I've always planned to be 100% ready before I have children but life loves to throw us curveballs. I have been set on having an abortion since I am early and can take the pill (I have an appt. today to find exactly how far along I am) but I couldn't get one til after we come back which gives me time to think about it. I would love to be a mommy and I feel so blessed to be given this precious gift but I don't know if I'm ready for the struggle it may bring. We live a 1 bedroom apartment and have been planning to buy a house next year in May when our lease is up. It would fall at a very inconvenient time because, at that point, I will be almost ready to have the baby. I haven't even really established myself yet and I have big dreams of starting my own theatre company. With our family being so far away, I'm nervous that we may have to move back for a bit so that we can have the help that we desperately will need for our baby as I don't want to leave it with just anyone and sometimes, our schedules overlap. I am so nervous, I don't know what to do. My friends and sister are very supportive of whatever I choose but I don't want to hurt my fiance because he is excited to have this baby. I know I could do it but I'm afraid of resenting that child because of the timing... Please give me some insight <3
