This information is a doc_mant of my experience with unprescribed clomid. Please share your experience and outcomes. There are lots of others considering this avenue and I think it would be greaat to have it in one place. I am 35, i ovulate monthly, i have 6 prior pregnancys, all natural conception and delivery. I have twins in my family and have carried 2 sets of twins but lost one each pregnancy. I have taken folic acid, and B6 for 3 months. i took unprescribed clomid 50 mg, in september days 2,3,4. I was really scared and had a really bad pain in my left side and i did not finish the last 2 days. The pain was a constant ache with occasional sharp shooting like pains. I was scared to death and almost panicked. I had AF on day 27, I did have a sign of ovulation during that month. however I did not use an opk, I was checking for cervical signs . I had blood pregnency test done day before Af due it was negative I explained to MD that I might be pregnant and was having severe pain to side and wanted to r/o ectopic pregnancy if test was positive. After AF (which only lasted 3 days) My Af usually lasts 4-5 days. I started the clomid again on day 2, i took 25 mg, day 3 i took 50 mg, day 4 i took 25 mg, my mail oredered clomid was late arriving so i took no clomid days 5 or 6, I then took 100 mg on day 7 and 50 mg on day 8, I know this seems weird but i really took the 250 mg that one would normally take just different schedule. I have now had LH detected with OPK day 13, and should have O'd last night or today. I have been taking mucinex since day 6 this round, I feel like my CM was hostile last time. We do the BD daily, I started 81 mg asprin day 9 and will continue it till BFP or BFN, I will post with updates and outcomes. I had really bad headaches both rounds of clomid and the first month I had alot of nausea and thought I was pregnant..I took my clomid at night, also the pain I experienced in round one did not go away for 4 weeks...i still have some discomfort to my left side and have noticed a slight discomfort on my right side. I will keep you posted as to side effects or symptoms.
Those of you who like to preach, please save it, You were great in sharing it in many other posts and I did read all of those too, I am hoping others can learn from my experience and can make a more informed decision.. I will update with the good and the bad...
