Here are some warning signs to look for in the postpartum period, call your practitioner if you have any of these symptoms:

Your depression significantly interferes with your ability to care for your baby or carry out other normal daily functions

Intense fatigue or sleeplessness.

Lack of motivation or loss of interest in yourself and your family

Remember, postpartum can be a wonderful time of adjustment. Having a new baby to love and care for is difficult no matter how much you prepare.
