I want to put my name on the baby birthcertificate even tho my girlfriend is having the baby! We are soon to be married but the baby will be born before marriage... What do you guys think? Me being another woman would i be able to put my name on the certificate? It will be my child just as well... The father is not going to be apart of the baby life he is going to have s_x with my girlfriend just to conceive! He already knows he wont be apart of the baby life as a father and understanding of that he may come visit BUT NO DADDY UP IN HERE!

i dont think legally you can but im not 100% sure. perhaps if you were married (lets say in CA) then they would allow you to but again im just guessing. why does the sperm donor have to have s_x with your girlfriend, you can inseminate at home without him just as long as he brings a 'sample'. good luck to you both.

The law says you can name your child any name you want as long as there is no deception involved in the naming. While you can't list two mothers on the birth certificate you can give the baby a hyphenated last name using both of your names or your last name or any name you choose. It will reflect the birth mother on the birth certificate and the hyphenated name or whatever. The only way to legally be the child's mother would be to go to court to adopt the child after the birth. Some states make this easier than others.

You had better be d__n sure that guy isn't going to have any interest in parenting after the baby is born. Legally, he has the rights and you don't. Have you drafted any sort of contract with an attorney? Or have anything in writing for that matter? Is he willing to give up parental rights after the birth? What if he changes his mind and wants to be the daddy after he see's the baby? This seems a bit sketchy to me, like you haven't thought through all the possible scenarios. How old are you by the way?

Unfortunately, due to the fact that many people have been using this forum to essentially try to "buy" or "sell" babies we have decided not to permit any more posts to this area of the site
