Not Being Hired D T Pregnancy

Has anyone had an issue with not being hired when pregnant? I was ask in the interview if I wanted anymore children and if I was going to have one. I felt this was inappropriate but also felt I had to answer the questions. I was 13 weeks pregnant at the time of the interview so I wasn't obviously showing. I met all the requirements for the job but was not hired. I feel it is based on my being pregnant. ????

It is illegal for that question to be asked. If you feel you were not hired b/c of your pregnancy you need to file a complaint.

I am an office manager and have hired a ton of people. You can not ask a question like that at all!!! It is illegal beyond belief. I cant ask your age or anything. Only questions that pertain to the job and that is it.

Hey Sandra,
I also missed on an awsome job and I think it is because I am pregnant. Now they did not ask any inappropriate questions but I felt that I had to be honest with them so they would know that I was going to take some time off. I couldn't imagine myself just showing up the first day and say "oh by the way, I'm pregnat." I obviously was too honest but how do you handle that kind of a situation.
