I'm 28 weeks preg.(first preg.) and am also 5'3" and weigh 118 lbs. My company recently moved to a new location. I wud need to commute for 4 hours back and forth by car (or 2 hours by train) to work. Is it safe at this stage to do so much travel on a daily basis. Do the chances of having a premeture baby increase if there is so much commute ?
Thanks in advance.

I currently have about a 2 hour commute each way to my sales job, mostly due to traffic where I live in CA. I am going to try to work closer to home during my last month of pregnancy but I am now about 30 weeks and still doing it. I have not heard that there is any risk of a premature baby but my Doctor has advised me to move my legs around whenever possible while driving because I am sitting so much. It's a tough commute but I have not heard about much risk otherwise. Once I am where I need to be, I am walking around a lot and so I hope that that makes up for a lot of my sitting.
