i haven't been taking my prenatal vitamins for quiet sometime. The first time was because i would forget, and now that i'm almost 4 months pregnant,i have no more left. I try calling my doctor for a refill, but haven't gotten a hold of him. I'm scared b/c through out this first trimester i dont eat much and i'm worried my baby isn't in a good situation right now,what do i do?

you can get over the counter prenatals! thats all that i took, my daughter is perfectly healthy....go buy them ASAP and start taking them now. no point in worrying about the ones you didnt take, just begin now.

Yes, you can definetly get prenatals over the counter. I didn't take prenatals at all with my first 2 pregnancies, just folic acid, because they made me feel really nauseated from the iron in them. I was also 17 and 19 years old when I was preggo with them and didn't eat all that great either. They turned out to be very healthy babies with both weighing around 8 lbs. So don't worry if you missed some ,you'll catch up, not taking them actually affects you more than the baby, because the baby takes everything it needs from you before you take it for yourself, if that makes sense, lol!
