Hi, I just turned 21 and (unexpectedly) found out I was pregnant. I have been with my boyfriend for almost five years, and we want to keep the baby. I am going into my junior year of college. I know its going to be difficult but I still want to pursue my goals of a degree. My boyfriend is in the Army and will most likely go active(he is a reservist right now). I haven't told my parents yet. Has anyone else been in this situation..in college and wanting to convince her parents she will be able to do it all? I know they will be happy eventually I am just extremely nervous to tell them. Thanks in advance for any help!

I was 21 when I first found out I was pregnant with my first born. I nearlly died! We were planning a wedding at the time and being pregnant was the last thing on our mind. We kept the baby (he s now nearlly 5) and I had to give up Uni but he was 6 weeks early and required more care. I tried for six months after he was born but I was also working part time and it was just too much. My husband completed his degree and I have gone back to Uni to get mine now. You can do it with a little juggling. I was nervous telling my parents and my partners but after the initial shock they were over the moon. Enjoy the pregnancy and your baby. Good luck!
