Am I Too Young

Hi Sadg! I had my first child two months after I turned 20 and my second at 22. I love my kids and we are TTC #3 this cycle. If everything goes well, we will have all our kids by my mid twenties. It seems like I am missing out on things now, but I still have lots more time left, God willing. I will also be a young enrgetic mom who will most likey see her grandkids marry and have babies of their own. The only thing I regret was getting married after having our first two kids. My body did change after having two large babies 10 and 9 lbs. In my mind, I missed out on my perfect wedding. So if you and your boyfirend love each other to share a child together, then why not talk about marrying! You will have your dream wedding, gorgeous prebaby body pictures :) Go on a honeymoon and being the baby dance! :) Good luck!

I didn't read all the other posts but, 20 is not too young, BUT you should get married first. There should be an order to some things, and this is one of them. Just like the old rhyme, first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes sadg pushing a baby carriage. :O}

No, I got pregnant with my first a week before my 18th b-day- everyone kept telling me i was too young and he was a mistake, but I wouldn't change it for anything. Too me, 12, 13, that is too young to have a baby- but you know what is best.

All respect, I have to say that just because you don't like to go out and party doesn't automatically say you are ready to be a mother. Believe me, you give up a lot more than bars when you have a baby. Technically, I don't think it is TOO young to have a baby, but I also think you still have PLENTY of time for children and maybe wait a bit.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to have a baby at all. Many women go through it. All of us women have been put on this earth by God himself to bare children. When I was 19 years old, I wanted and baby and got pregnant. I just recently, at 20 years old, had my first baby with my fiance. We have only been together for a year and a half and our little baby girl is the most precious and best thing that has ever come into our lives. It doesn't matter how old you are, as long as you are willing to give this unborn child a good life and you have the support you need. No one can raise a child on their own and still be sane. A baby is so much work and you must be willing to devote your entire attention for this little addition. I don't think that anyone is READY for a baby. You can try to be as prepared and financially able as much as possible, but somehow, babies always seem to know how to throw you for a loop!
