How Long Will Take Me To Conceive

I have been off of bcp between april and june of 2007 my last regular cyle was at the end of october and I haven had a cycle since then. I just recently got married 4 months ago. I have taken four or five pregnancy test and they have all been negative. I had blood work done and it said negative. Please help I have a 11 year old daughter and me and my husband are ready to have a baby.

It takes some women longer than others to get back to normal after taking bcp. Have you tried ovulation tests? Maybe you are still ovulating even though you are not having periods? I'm not sure how common that is... And before you started taking bcp were your periods normal then? I ask because mine were never normal and sometimes I go up to 6 months without a period. Then when they are regular they only last average of 2 days. And it took me about a year to conceive but when I did, it was twins (natural conception). I know my cycles are whacky but obviously, I do ovulate. Even though your periods are not normal its not to say that you aren't ovulating.

Hello. I know that there is some med that is given to women who need to start the mc back up again. Not sure what it is, but do some research on internet. Also, call your doctor and ask questions. If it were me, I would feel better if I had a period, because you know you are healthy and your body is preparing itself for conception. Thats why we have them in the first place. I hope this helps. I am sure you prob. already know all that. Bless you and I hope it all works out. I am also ttc!!!

it all depends on what your body wants to do or not to do. with my daughter i got pregnant the same month i got of birth control. with this pregnancy i had troubles, i went off birth control in oct.06 and then i was diagnosed with pcos, and with the help of clomid i found out i was pregnant in july of 07 almost a whole year off ttc. now i am 30 weeks preggo with a boy
