I'm 21 and I had my second child two months ago. I had my first son when I was 18. Both were planned pregnancies and I'm married to the my children's father who is currently 22. While I don't think that getting pregnant young is the right choice for everybody, I think that its a personal choice. Both me and my husband work HARD to give our children a good life. He graduated college and has a really good job, we own our own home and I stay at home with my kids so they don't have to be put in daycare. I can honestly say I never feel like I'm missing out on the things that other people my age typically do. I have fun with my family and I love being with them. I would want my life any other way. And like I said my choice isn't the right choice for everybody. But who is anybody really to tell another person when the "right" time for them to have kids is?

I totally agree! I'm 21...newly married, and expecting my first. To say that there is a perfect age to have kids is quite foolish....because age is just a number. You have to be ready and fully know what you want and who you are.

I agree as well, I have been with my husband for nearly 3 years, I am currently 21 he is 23 and we are TTC. Everyone is very different, we had a years of partying, but both also had to grow up quite fast under different circ_mstances, we both have good jobs and now want nothing more than to start a family of our own. Congratulations to both of you!
