12 Years Post Cesarean Pain

This seems to be a common problem .. My first cesear was 12 years ago, I had terrible pain after it and was told the deep muscles were not healing properly. I moved house 3 months ago and I think carrying heavy things started this off again. I am unable to carry even light things now, stretch or sit at an angle without this pain re-appearing. I have gained 2 stone in weight and don't know if it has any bearing. Has anyone else been in the same position, what can I do to strengthen the scar area so I can live without pain.

I don't know how to strengthen other than gradual work outs that focus on the abs. I have had 3 (I am pregnant with my 4th, C-section scheduled for July 28th) C-sections. My first was in 2000, second in 2003 and my third in 2007. I still haven't had any success with repairing the muscles. I have been working out since I had my first. The pain comes and goes for me but none of it is excruciating.

Have any of you had disabling pain for some time after your C Section?

yes, I had to have total bedrest for three days due to the pain, it was so bad it used to take my breath away. It was the result of the deep muscles in my uterus not healing properly. I have moved house three times in four years and each time the pain has returned, it is taking longer to heal each time.
